1. Connect the power adapter.
Connect the included AC adapter to the back of the dock.
Connect the power cable to the adapter.
Plug the power cable into a wall outlet.
2. The back of the dock (from left to right).
One DP++ 1.2 port.
One HDMI 1.4 port.
One VGA port.
One Gigabit Ethernet port (10/100/1000Mbps).
Two USB-A 3.2 Gen1 ports (up to 5V/0.9A/5Gbps) for connecting accessories such as keyboards, mice, and USB drives.
One headphone jack.
One USB-C 3.2 Gen1 port (up to 5V/0.9A/5Gbps) for connecting a USB-C power adapter.
*Minimum of 75W PD required from your USB-C power adapter.
USB-C power adapter not included.
One DC 20V port for use with included power adapter.
The front of the dock (from left to right).
One USB-A 3.2 Gen1 port (up to 5V/0.9A/5Gbps) for connecting accessories such as keyboards, mice, and USB drives.
Two USB-A 3.2 Gen1 ports (up to 5V/1.5A/5Gbps) for charging accessories such as smartphones.
One audio combo jack.
One USB-C 3.2 Gen1 host port (supporting up to 85W PD).
3. Connect one end of the USB-C cable to a USB-C port on the laptop.
4. Connect the other end of the included USB-C cable to the USB-C 3.2 Gen1 host port on the front of the dock.
5. Video specifications.
One monitor.
HBR2/HBR3: DP++ and HDMI provides Single 4K (3840x2160) @ 30Hz. VGA provides Single 1080p (1920x1080) @ 60Hz.
Two monitors.
HBR2/HBR3: DP++ and VGA or DP++ and HDMI or VGA and HDMI provides Dual 1080p (1920x1080) @ 60Hz.
Three monitors.
HBR2/HBR3: DP++ and VGA and HDMI provides Single 1080p (1920x1080) @ 60Hz and Dual 720p (1280x720) @60Hz.
5a. If you would like 3 displays, you can use the DP++ and HDMI ports for a triple monitor setup using your laptop as the first screen.
5b. If you choose to connect three external monitors via the DP++, HDMI, and VGA ports, then your laptop screen will not be available.
