4. Uso e cuidados com a ferramenta

A peça a ser trabalhada deve sempre ser xa u
com rmeza. Não trabalhar em peças que se-
jam demasiadamente pequenas para serem
xas. Caso contrário,adistânciaentrea sua
mãoealâminadeserraemrotaçãonãoserá
suciente.
Só utilizar a ferramenta elétrica para os materiais u
indicados no capítulo de utilização conforme as
disposições. Caso contrário, é possível que a
ferramentaelétricasejasobrecarregada.
Se a lâmina de serra emperrar, deverá desli- u
gar a serra e não movimentar a peça a ser
trabalhada até a lâmina de serra parar. Para
evitar um contragolpe, só deverá movimentar
a peça a ser trabalhada depois que a lâmina
de serra parar. Eliminaracausadoemperra-
mentodalâminadeserraantesdeligarnova-
menteaferramentaelétrica.
Não utilizar lâminas de serra embotadas, ra- u
chadas, empenadas ou danicadas. Lâminas
deserracomdentesembotadosouincorreta-
mentealinhadoscausam umatritomaior,um
contragolpe e emperram devido à fenda de
corteapertada.
Sempre utilizar lâminas de serra do tamanho u
correto e com orifício de admissão apropria-
do (p. ex. em forma de estrela ou redondo).
Lâminas de serra não apropriadas para as
peçasdemontagemdalâminafuncionamdesi-
quilibradamente,elevamàperdadecontrole.
Não utilizar lâminas de serra de aço de alta u
liga para trabalhos rápidos (aço HSS). Estas
lâminasdeserrapodemquebrarfacilmente.
Jamais tocar na lâmina de serra após termi- u
nar o trabalho, antes que possa esfriar. A
lâminadeserratorna-seextremamentequente
duranteotrabalho.
Jamais utilizar a ferramenta sem a placa de u
alimentação. Uma placa de alimentação de-
feituosa deve ser substituída. Sealâminade
serraforutilizadasemumaplacadealimenta-
ção em perfeito estado, poderá provocar
lesões.
Controlar o cabo em intervalos regulares e u
permitir que um cabo danicado seja repara-
do por um serviço pós-venda autorizado para
ferramentas elétricas Bosch. Substituir cabos
de extensão danicados. Destaformaéasse-
guradaasegurançadaferramentaelétrica.
Quando não estiver sendo utilizada, a ferra- u
menta elétrica deverá ser guardada num lu-
gar seguro. Ela deve ser guardada num local
seco e que possa ser trancado. Assimevita-se
queaferramentaelétricasofradanosdevido
ao armazenamento ou que seja operada por
pessoasinexperientes.

Make sure that the guard operates proper- u

Keep hands away from the cutting area while u

Never remove cutting remainders, wood u
chips, etc. from the sawing area while the ma-
chine is running. Always guide the tool arm
back to the neutral position rst and then
switchthemachineoff.
Guide the saw blade against the workpiece u
only when the machine is switched on. Other-
wise there is damage of kickback, when the
sawbladebecomeswedgedintheworkpiece.
Keep handles dry, clean, and free from oil and u
grease. Greasy,oilyhandlesareslipperycau-
singlossofcontrol.
Operate the power tool only when the work u
area to the workpiece is clear of any adjusting
tools, wood chips, etc. Smallpiecesofwood
orotherobjectsthatcomeincontactwiththe
rotatingsawbladecanstriketheoperatorwith
highspeed.
Always rmly clamp the piece to be worked. u
Do not saw workpieces that are too small to
clamp. Otherwise,theclearanceofyourhand
totherotatingsawbladeistoosmall.
Use the machine only for cutting the materi- u
als listed under Intended Use. Otherwise,the
machinecanbesubjecttooverload.
If the saw blade should become jammed, u
switch the machine off and hold the work-
piece until the saw blade comes to a complete
stop. To prevent kickback, the workpiece may
not be moved until after the machine has
come to a complete stop. Correct thecause
forthejammingofthesawbladebefore res-
tartingthemachine.
Do not use dull, cracked, bent or damaged u
saw blades. Unsharpened or improperly set
sawbladesproducenarrowkerfcausingexces-
sivefriction,bladebindingandkickback.
Always use saw blades with correct size and u
shape (diamond versus round) of arbor holes.
Saw blades that do not match the mounting
hardware of the saw will run eccentrically,
causinglossofcontrol.
Do not use high speed steel (HSS) saw blades. u
Suchsawbladescaneasilybreak.
Do not touch the saw blade after working be- u
fore it has cooled. The saw blade becomes
veryhotwhileworking.
Never operate the machine without the insert u
plate. Replace a defective insert plate. Wi-
thoutawlessinsertplates,injuriesarepossi-
blefromthesawblade.

General power tool safety instructions

1. Work area safety
Keep work area clean and well lit. a) Clutte-
redordarkareasinviteaccidents.
Do not operate power tools in explosive b)
atmospheres, such as in the presence of
ammable liquids, gases or dust. Power
tools create sparks which may ignite the
dustorfumes.
Keep children and bystanders away while c)
operating a power tool. Distractions can
causeyoutolosecontrol.
2. O Electrical safety
Power tool plugs must match the outlet. a)
Never modify the plug in any way. Do not
use any adapter plugs with earthed (groun-
ded) power tools. Unmodied plugs and
matchingoutletswillreduceriskofelectric
shock.
Avoid body contact with earthed or groun-b)
ded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators,
ranges and refrigerators. There is an in-
creasedriskofelectricshockifyourbody
isearthedorgrounded.
Do not expose power tools to rain or wet c)
conditions. Water entering a power tool
willincreasetheriskofelectricshock.
Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord d)
for carrying, pulling or unplugging the po-
wer tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil,
sharp edges or moving parts. Damagedor
entangledcordsincreasetheriskofelec-
tricshock.
When operating a power tool outdoors, e)
use an extension cord suitable for outdo-
or use. Useofacordsuitableforoutdoor
usereducestheriskofelectricshock.
If operating a power tool in a damp loca-f)
tion is unavoidable, use a residual current
device (RCD) protected supply. Useofan
RCDreducestheriskofelectricshock.
3. Personal safety
Stay alert, watch what you are doing and a)
use common sense when operating a po-
wer tool. Do not use a power tool while
you are tired or under the inuence of
drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment
ofinattentionwhileoperatingpowertools
mayresultinseriouspersonalinjury.
Use personal protective equipment. Always b)
wear eye protection. Protective equipment
such as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes,
hard hat, or hearing protection used for
appropriate conditions will reduce perso-
nalinjuries.
Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the c)
switch is in the off-position before connec-
ting to power source and/or battery pack,
picking up or carrying the tool. Carryingpo-
wertoolswithyourngerontheswitchor
energisingpowertoolsthathavetheswitch
oninvitesaccidents.
Remove any adjusting key or wrench before d)
turning the power tool on. Awrenchorakey
leftattachedtoarotatingpartofthepower
toolmayresultinpersonalinjury.
Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and e)
balance at all times. Thisenablesbettercon-
trolof thepowertoolin unexpectedsitua-
tions.
Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing f)
or jewellery. Keep your hair ands clothing
away from moving parts. Loose clothes,
jewelleryorlonghaircanbecaughtinmo-
vingparts.
If devices are provided for the connection g)
of dust extraction and collection facilities,
ensure these are connected and properly
used. Useofdustcollectioncanreducedust-
relatedhazards.
4. Power tool use and care
Do not force the power tool. Use the cor-a)
rect power tool for your application. The
correctpowertoolwilldothejobbetterand
saferattherateforwhichitwasdesigned.
Do not use the power tool if the switch b)
does not turn it on and off. Anypowertool
thatcannotbecontrolledwiththeswitch
isdangerousandmustberepaired.
