correct use of this product and are to prevent injury and
damage to you and others before they occur.
Precautions are classified as follows.
Make sure to observe the precautions because they are
all important in relation to safety.

Make sure
Failure to observe the following will cause
injury or a failure due to heat generation,

- Correctly use the battery according to the indication for use.
- Perform periodic inspection (for battery leakage).
- When not using this product for one month or more, take out
the battery.
Remove accessories, such as earrings and
necklaces, and contact lenses for use.

If there is any severe roughness or chapping
of your lips, you may feel strong irritation in
rare instances. In this case, do not use this

product paying attention to unexpected

on one part of your lips but always keep it in

Upper cap
For the heating head. Make sure to put it on after use.
(II) Heating mode indication lamp (orange)
This lamp flashes during preparation and lights upon
completion of preparation.
Switch
If this switch is pressed, an operating sound will be heard,
and the cleansing mode indication lamp will light.
If this switch is pressed again during cleansing, switching
to heating care will be performed.
- Every time the switch is pressed, an operating sound
will be heard, and the mode will be switched (in order
of cleansing – heating – OFF – cleansing).
Main body
Main body case
Remove it when setting a battery.
Rubber head
Set a cotton swab.
The rubber head section can be removed from the main
body and cared for.
Locating hole
The position to cut a cotton swab can be determined.
Heating head
The surface is warmed up by the built-in heater.
(I) Cleansing mode indicating mode (green)
This lamp lights during cleansing.
Grounding parts
Ion cleansing cannot be performed unless one of these
parts is touched for use.
* The switch is not a grounding part.

For the rubber head. Make sure to put it on after use.

What is ion cleansing?
Cosmetic products such as lipstick and lip gross remaining
on lips that are hard to remove by usual cleansing or face
washing are drawn out by using electrical properties.
- This is not a makeup remover.
What is heating care?
By moving the warm heating head, lips and lip balm are
softened in order to permeate deeply into wrinkles.
Precautions for use
Do not wash this product with water. And, do not soak in
water or splash water on it. (Cause of a failure)
Do not use or leave this product in places splashed with
water or in damp places, such as in a bathroom.

Make sure to put on the caps after use.

Preparation before use
How to put in a battery
1. Pull and remove the main body case in the direction of
the arrow. (Fig.2)
CAUTION
Do not remove the upper cap.
Remove the main body case holding the main body.
1. Do not use a leaky battery.
2. Use only an alkaline battery (size AA).
With other batteries (rechargeable batteries, etc.), full
performance will not be delivered as the power is low
or the battery life is short.
3. Correctly put in an alkaline battery according to the (
and ( indications on the main body.
4. Use a battery that is within the recommended period
of use.
5. Immediately take out the battery when used up.
6. Dispose of used batteries according to your local laws
and regulations, etc.
Precautions on using a battery
The battery life will differ depending on the ambient
temperature.
[When this product is used for about 4 minutes
(2 minutes in each mode) once a day with a Hitachi
alkaline battery LR6 (EX-S)]
About 3 weeks at an ambient temperature of 25°C
About 2 weeks at an ambient temperature of 15°C
The battery life has run down if the indication lamp
does not flash/light even when the switch is turned ON.
Replace the alkaline battery with a new one.
2. Correctly put in a size AA alkaline battery according to
the indications on the main body. (Fig.3)
CAUTION
If the battery is put in incorrectly, the indication lamp
will not light/flash.

3. Install the main body case.
Align the depressions in the main body case with the
projections on the main body, and securely install the
main body case as far as it will go. (Fig.4)

1. Wash away dirt from lips cleanly.
Remove lipstick, etc., with a cleansing agent.
2. Cut a commercially available cotton swab and set it to
the main body.
(1) Remove the lower cap. (Fig.5)
(2) Cut a commercially available cotton swab so that its
stem portion becomes 5 to 10mm. (Fig.6)

How to determine the cutting size
The locating hole is intended to determine the cotton
swab length.
A paper-made stem can be cut by the locating hole.
If the stem portion of the cotton swab is plastic, crease
it with the locating hole, and then cut it with scissors.
If you do not use the locating hole, cut the cotton swab
so that its stem portion becomes 5 to 10mm.
(1) Insert the cotton swab in the locating hole in the
lower cap, and push the stem portion into the
narrowed part of the hole. (Fig.7)
(2) Draw out the stem portion frontward, and it stops at
a position of about 7mm. Incise and cut the stem
within 3mm from the surface of the lower cap.

(3) If the stem portion of the cotton swab is made of
paper, it can be cut off by folding it from side to side
as it is. (Fig.9)
(3) Insert the cut cotton swab until the cotton head
comes in contact with the rubber head. (Fig.10)
Notice
Use a commercially available cotton swab.
Cotton swabs having an extremely narrow stem (for
babies, etc.) and those having a thick stem (long-
stemmed for medical use, etc.) may not be able to be set.

Do not use this product with the rubber
head off. (Cause of a failure)

wound or chapping of your lips.

1. Insert the cut cotton swab with toner to the rubber head.
Use your regular toner. (Do not use a milky lotion or gel.)
Pour a small amount of toner into the attached toner
tray, and dampen the entire cotton head with enough
amount of toner. (Fig.11)
Some toners (made only of mineral spring water or
water, etc.) may not show effects sufficiently.
CAUTION
Ion cleansing cannot be performed if the cotton
head dampened with toner is not in contact with the
rubber head. (Fig.12)

rubber head.
2. Press the switch.
Your will hear an operating sound (single short beep),
the cleansing mode indication lamp (green) will light,
and you will hear a motion sound (repeated short beeps).

3. Hold the main body so as to touch one of the grounding
parts of the main body.

Be careful not to touch the switch.
4. Lightly apply the cotton head to your lips, and gently
move it.
(1) Move the cotton head vertically along vertical
wrinkles on your lips. (Fig.16)
(2) Open your lips as pronouncing “e,” and move up
and down around the corners of the mouth.
(Fig.17)
(3) Finally, move the cotton head and slide it all over
your lips. (Fig.18)
Do not keep the cotton head on
one part of your lips but always keep
it in motion. (Cause of lip trouble or
poor physical condition)
If the moisture in the cotton head becomes
insufficient or if it is hard to slide, replenish the toner.
Do not use on one part of your lips for more than 10
seconds.
If you feel a slight current stimulation (a tingling
sensation) during use, replenish the toner.
CAUTION
Avoid putting the cotton head inside your oral cavity.
5. An automatic stop is made when 2 minutes have
elapsed. (Auto-off function)
To stop using in mid-process, turn the switch OFF by
pressing it twice.
If an automatic stop is made, an ending sound
(double beep) will be heard.
CAUTION
Avoid continuous use.
It will strain your lips and cause lip trouble.
6. Remove the cotton swab from the main body. (Fig.19)
After use, wipe away the toner adhering to the rubber
head and main body with tissue paper, etc.
CAUTION
Be careful not to detach the rubber head.

Do not reuse the cotton swab once it is used.
(Cause of lip trouble)
Make sure to wipe away the toner adhering to the
main body. (Cause of a failure by entry of toner
into the main body)
Ion cleansing cannot be performed unless one of the
grounding parts of the main body is touched. (Fig.14)
If you are worried about dryness after cleansing, use
the heating care mode.
CAUTION
During use, do not touch the switch.
(The switch will turn off or the mode will switch.)
Avoid continuous use.
It will strain your lips and cause lip trouble.
How to install the rubber head if it is removed
When removing the cotton swab, the rubber head
may come off together. Fig.20)
If it comes off together with the cotton swab, remove the
cotton swab from the rubber head, and push the rubber
head into the electrode of the main body. Fig.21)

7. After use, put on the lower cap.
1. Apply lip balm to your lips.
Use your regular lip balm.
(Lipstick, lip gloss, and other makeup cannot be used.)
If colored lip balm is used, the main body may be
discolored.

Use this product only for lips and their

(Cause of accidents or trouble)
2. Press the switch twice. (Fig.22)
(1) You will hear an operating sound (double short beep),
and the heating mode indication lamp will flash.
(2) In about 30 seconds, the heating head becomes
usable, and the heating mode indication lamp
changes from flashing to lighting.
If the battery is running down or the ambient
temperature is low, a longer time will be required.
CAUTION
Use this product at an ambient temperature of
15°C - 35°C.
If it is used under 15°C:
The battery life will become shorten.
The heating head will take a long time to warm up.
The heating mode indication lamp will go out.

3. Apply the heating head to your lips, and move it as if
sliding it.
(1) Using the side of the heating head, move it from the
centers of your lips toward the corners of the mouth.
(Fig.23)
(2) Using the round portion at the top of the heating head,
move it in a circular pattern. (Fig.24)
(3) Using the entire heating head, move it along the
outline of your lips in a circular pattern. (Fig.25)
Wipe away the lip balm adhering to the heating head
and main body with tissue paper, etc.
Lightly pat off the lip balm remaining on your lips and
outline with a tissue.
To stop using in mid-process, press the switch once.
4. An automatic stop is made when 2 minutes have elapsed
since switching to the heating mode. (Auto-off function)
If an automatic stop is made, an ending sound
(double beep) will be heard.
5. After use, put on the upper cap.
CAUTION
Never wash the main body with water
Make sure to wipe away the lip balm adhering to
the heating head.
(Cause of a failure or unusual odor by entry of lip
balm into the main body)
Care for the main body
Wipe dirt on the main body with a cloth moistened with
water and firmly squeezed.
Do not use alcohol, benzine, or thinner.
(Cause of deformation or discoloration)
Do not wash the main body with water.
And, do not soak in water or splash
water on it. (Cause of a failure)
Make sure to turn OFF the power switch.
(Improperly turning on the switch may
cause irritation or a malfunction or short
circuit.)

How to preserve
Put on the upper and lower caps, and keep in an area of
low humidity with little dust.
When not using this product for one
month or more, take out the battery.

Do not leave this product in places
splashed with water or in damp places,
such as in a bathroom.

Do not leave this product in areas exposed
to direct sunlight (inside of a vehicle in
summer, etc.) or near heaters.
