When connecting the unit to a digital
amplier or other digital component
You can connect a digital amplier or other
digital component to the DIGITAL COAXIAL
OUT jack or DIGITAL OPTICAL OUT
connector of the unit. Refer to page 80 of the
operating instructions for details.
Connect the unit to a network.
If you have a network environment, you can
easily connect the unit to the Internet as
shown in the gure below.
Disconnect the network cable from your
computer.
Connect the network cable to the
NETWORK port of the unit.
Notes
is method of accessing the Internet may not
be possible for some Internet service provider.
While the network cable is connected to the
unit as described above, you will not be able to
access the Internet on the computer. If you want
to connect to the Internet from the unit and
the computer at the same time, you must use a
separate network cable to connect the computer
to the network. For details on connections, refer
to the page 82 of the Operating Instructions or
the customer support site of Sony Europe, http://
support.sony-europe.com/ (for the customers in
Europe only).
Connect the power cord.
Connect the power cord to a wall outlet aer
all other connections have been made.
The unit turns on automatically and
starts making the initial settings. Wait
until the unit turns o again.
e initial settings may take a few minutes
depending on the unit’s condition.
WARNING
Do not disconnect the power cord while the initial
setup is in progress. Doing so may cause the unit to
malfunction.
Inserting the batteries into the
remote control
Insert two size-AA (R6) batteries (supplied)
into the remote control with the and
terminals matching the polarity markings.
When the remote control is no longer able to
operate the unit, replace both batteries with
new ones.
