Preparation:
Turn on the television and select the appropriate video input
to suit the connections to this unit.
Press
/l button to turn on the unit.
Press [DRIVE SELECT] to select the HDD or DVD drive.
If you selected the DVD drive, press
OPEN/CLOSE button
on the main unit to insert a disc.

Formatting is the process of making media such as DVD-RAM recordable on recording equipment.

disc that has been recorded on other equipment.
We recommend you use HDD or a DVD-RAM for repetitive recording of digital broadcast, editing title/
chapter after recording and for other various functions.

DVD-R, etc. recorded on this unit cannot be played on other players immediately after recording. Using
the Finalise feature allows you to play these discs on other players. (However, once the disc is finalised
you will no longer be able to record to the disc.)
Auto Finalise
Auto finalisation is always offered before an unfinalised disc is ejected.
Finalise the disc so that it can be played on other DVD players.
