8.2 Using the Automatic Baking Oven
To cook foods with the automatic baking oven, proceed as follows:
Set the thermostat (3) to ‘150 °F.’
Turn the operating mode switch (5) and timer (7) to the ‘OFF’ position.
Insert the crumb tray (14) in the very bottom of the automatic baking oven if it is not already
installed.
Slide the baking sheet (10) or cooking grate (12) into the desired rack
position (2).
If you want to cook greasy foods on the cooking grate (12), you can insert the
baking sheet (10) one rack position below (2) to catch dripping fat.
Put the food on the baking sheet (10) or cooking grate (12). To do so, line the baking sheet
(10) with parchment paper or grease it.
Allow the automatic baking oven to preheat to the desired temperature for about 10 minutes if
needed. The temperature control light (4) turns on as soon as the set temperature is reached. If
the temperature drops below the set temperature again, the temperature control light (4) turns
off.
Close the door (8) of the automatic baking oven.
Connect the plug to a power socket that is always easily accessible.
Use the thermostat (3) to set the desired temperature.
Turn the operating mode switch (5) to the desired function (Bottom Heat, Top Heat, or
Top/Bottom Heat).
Use the timer (7) to set the desired time. Turn the timer (7) counter-clockwise to ‘ON’ for
continuous operation.
The automatic baking oven turns on. The control light (6) lights up during operation. The
temperature control light (4) turns on as soon as the set temperature is reached. If the
temperature drops below the set temperature again, the temperature control light (4) turns off.
The automatic baking oven turns off automatically when the time set on the timer (7) is reached.
A signal sounds when the timer (7) reaches the ‘OFF’ position. You can also set the timer (7) to
the ‘OFF’ position manually to turn the automatic baking oven off early. If you set the timer (7)
to ‘ON’, you have to turn the automatic baking oven off manually. To do so set the timer (7) to
the ‘OFF’ position.
Open the door (8) of the automatic baking oven. To do so, only touch the handle (9).
Now remove the food. Use the supplied tongs (11) if you want to remove the cooking grate
(12) or baking sheet (10). Use pot holders or oven mitts while doing so.
When you are done using the automatic baking oven, turn the thermostat (3)
back to ‘150 °F’ and disconnect the plug from the socket.
Turn the operating mode switch (5) and timer (7) to the ‘OFF’ position.
Clean the automatic baking oven as described in the ‘Cleaning’ section.
