Thank you for purchasing the SY-3130HD digital terrestrial decoder scart with USB recorder. In order to fully benefit from
this product, please follow the instructions in this user manual very carefully. Store this user manual in a safe place for
future reference.
As a switching equipment, power adaptor should be convenient for operating
the device should be far away from water dropping and splashing, as well as vase full of
liquid
Introduction
This user manual is intended to guide you through the operation for the DVB-T High Definition Digital Terrestrial
Receiver.
The password might be required when you try to modify some advance options. Default password is
“000000”.
Main functions and features
This product is a high performance HDTV
Terrestrial
receiver. It fully complies with DVB-T FTA receiver requirement specifications.
It provides users with all
digital terrestrial TV and radio signals
being broadcast in Standard Definition or High Definition.

MENU Display menu, press again to exit current menu
EXIT Back to previous menu without saving

Press INFO. Key to display the information bar during
live TV.
EPG Press EPG key to display 7 days EPG information.
UP/DOWN Move selection up/down within menus and lists
LEFT/RIGHT
While watching a channel, the LEFT/RIGHT buttons
increases or decreases the audio output volume. Within
a menu, press the LEFT button to return to previous
menu and the RIGHT button to enter a sub-menu.
OK
Call up a program list for the current channel while
watching digital/TV or listening to the radio. In a menu,
this button serves to confirm a selection.
PREV/NEXT Page up/down in lists, and Previous/Next track
FAV Display favorites channel

TIMESHIFT
Into the timeshift state, press
key to enter the
timeshift suspended state; Press button to

Remark: When connecting outside hard-disk, the hard-disk must have its own power source.
Installing the batteries
Remove the battery cover from the read of the Remote Control and place 2xAAA size batteries inside the compartment.
Please make sure the battery polarities match the polarity markings inside the compartment.

Installation guide
Automatic Channel Search
1) Press the MENU button on the remote control to enter the main menu.
2) Channel Search will be highlighted. Press OK.
3) Select AUTO SEARCH and press OK.
4) The channel search will now begin.
5) Once it has finished, the screen will exit and go to TV mode.
Manual Channel Search
1) Press the MENU button on the remote control to enter the main menu.
2) Manual search will be highlighted. Press OK
3) Select the INSTALLATION option and press OK
4) Select MANUAL SEARCH and press OK
5) Using the “ ” browse through the channels and press OK to save a desired TV/Radio Channel.

Channel Sorting
- Press the Menu button on the remote control
- Program will be highlighted. Press OK
- Select the SORT option and press OK

- Then select the CHANNEL SORTING option and press OK
- You have the following options to sort channels:
By LCN, By Onid, By Service name, By Service ID.
- Press “
” to skip between both windows to make your selection.

Channel Editing
Please press password”000000” when you entry Program Edit.
- This option allows you to modify the channels broadcasting parameters. Generally, no modification is needed
and SYTECH recommends you not to make any modifications unless you are an advanced user. Any incorrect
modification may result in a lack of reception.

Channel Deleting
- This option allows you to delete one channel that has previously been saved. Select DELETE a channel and
press OK to confirm.
Sub key
The programs might have multilingual subtitle information. All available subtitle languages would display on the subtitle
information window while you press SUBTITLE key. The screenshot is illustrated below. Follow the help information on
the subtitle windows to select preference subtitle.
HDMI
Change the type of HDMI output – following options are available : 576i / 576p / 720p / 1080i / 1080p
EPG
Press EPG key to display the weekly electronic program guide. You could find when your enjoy program start and the
summary of your enjoy program.
TV channel and radio channel list
Press ENTER key to display all TV channel or all Radio channel. Follow the help information at the bottom of the
window to select preference channel.
Favourite channel
You can add preference channels to favourite’s channel list on the channel edit window. Press FAV key to launch your
favourite’s channel list.
Parental lock
Restrict channels from being viewed
- Enter System Parental Guidance
- Select System Parental Guidance and press OK
- You will be asked to enter your old password (Default: 000000)
- Type in a new password, and retype it for verification.
- Choose between Off or and age between 4~18 for selection.
To block a channel, go into the channel organizer and use the LOCK key to block the channel. You will be asked to
insert your password.
Software upgrade
- Press MENU on the remote control
- Press
to select system.
- Select SOFTWARE UPGRADE and press OK

- Select UPDATE FROM USB.
- Select the partition where the new software is stored.
- Select the file and press OK
Note: Please default settings after upgrading.
Factory default
To reset the SY-3130HD to its original settings you must:
-Press MENU on the remote control
-Press to select the system. Press OK
-Select FACTORY DEFAULT and press OK
-A display asking YES or NO will be shown
-Press YES to proceed, press NO to cancel
PVR function
Base on FILELIST function you could record the preference program and playback. Instant recording, EPG recording
and timer recording were available.
Instant recording
Press REC. key to start instant recording during watch TV and the recording symbol would be display on the left top of
the screen. Press INFO. key to get further more information of instant recording. Press STOP key to stop instant
recording.
Time shift
1) Press key to enter the TIMESHIFT mode. In Time shift mode, you can watch the program whilst the
program is being recorded as well.
2) The “TIMESHIFT” state will be shown on the top right corner of the screen.
3) In Time shift mode, when you press “STOP” it will exit the Time shift mode.
Wake up timer recording
If you want to set channel playing at certain time or REC some programs, you can set via Timer manual.
- Go to EPG window and press INFO key to enter to the schedule window. Application shall provide list of timer for
adding, viewing, editing and deleting.
In timer add menu, the system shall be showed the following items
Channel type: Select the timer for TV or Radio
Channel no.: Specifies the channel for recording
Channel name: The channel name will be showed once channel number fixed
Start date: Specifies the timer date
Start time: Specifies the start time of the timer
End time: Specifies the end time of the timer,
Repeat:: Specifies the frequency of the timer, duration can be any of the following
Once - timer will be triggered only once.
Daily - timer will be triggered daily at the specified time.
Weekly - timer will be triggered every week at the specified time.
Mode: Specifies which mode you prefer when setting the time.
-Playback recorded program
Press FILELIST key to display the recorded program. Follow the help information to preview, playback the recorded
program and edit the recorded program.

A Multimedia player feature also has been integrated on the receiver. Press DEV. LIST key to display multimedia player
window. You could visualize your preferred photos, play your favourite music and movies on the multimedia player.
