Asco Series 349 Electronic Pressure Switch Owner's manual

Type
Owner's manual

Asco Series 349 Electronic Pressure Switch is a versatile device that offers a wide range of features and functions for precise pressure control and monitoring. It features two independent outputs that can be configured for normally open or normally closed operation, allowing for a variety of control options. The digital display clearly indicates the measured pressure and relevant settings, providing real-time information at a glance.

The pressure switch also incorporates advanced functions such as hysteresis and window comparator modes. Hysteresis mode allows for a specified pressure difference between the switch-on and switch-off points, preventing rapid cycling and ensuring stable operation. Window comparator mode enables the switch to operate within a predefined pressure range, providing added flexibility for specific applications.

1. OUTPUT MODES
Hysteresis mode:
Adjustment of switch point H and hysteresis range h.
Ex.: H = 6 bar - h = 0.5 bar

UNIT OF MEASURE
Factory setting:
6. LOCKOUT
Press the “mode” and “arrow down” keys simultaneously
to lock the pressure switch to prevent unwanted chan-
ges to the adjustments. Repeat the above procedure to
unlock the pressure switch and change the settings.
7. SETTING MODE
Initial settings: Output 1 & 2 = Normally Open

ELECTRONIC PRESSURE SWITCH WITH DIGITAL DISPLAY
Hysteresis and comparator functions
At 0 bar, the output signal is turned “OFF”. Whenever
pressure crosses above the switch point, the output si-
gnal is turned “ON”. As long as the pressure is above 5.5
bar (= 6 bar – 0,5 bar), the output signal remains “ON”.
Whenever pressure decreases and crosses below
5.5 bar, the output signal is turned “OFF”. In the N.C.
(Normally Closed) as opposed to the N.O. (Normally
Open) configuration, ON becomes OFF and vice-versa.
Factory setting:
outputs 1 & 2 in the hysteresis mode.
At 0 bar, the output signal is turned “OFF”. Whenever
pressure crosses above the lower limit, the output signal
is turned “ON”. As long as the pressure level remains
within the upper and lower limits of the window, the out-
put signal remains “ON”. Whenever the pressure crosses
above the upper limit, the output signal is turned “OFF”.
In the N.C. (Normally Closed) as opposed to the N.O.
(Normally Open) configuration, ON becomes OFF and
vice-versa.
