Attach the red cable to the positive (+) battery
terminal and attach the black cable to the
negative (–) battery terminal with the bolts and
hex nuts.
Position the red rubber boot over the
positive battery terminal.
Remove the shipping brace from the
discharge opening by grasping it
between your thumb and index finger
and rotating it clockwise.

With the wheels of the tractor pointing straight 1.
forward, place the steering wheel
over the steering shaft.
Secure the steering wheel 2.
with the washer (cupped side
down) and hex bolt.
Push the steering wheel cap 3.
down until it “clicks” into place.

Tools Required:
• /-inch wrench (or adjustable wrench)
• ⁄-inch wrench (or adjustable wrench)
• /-inch socket wrench
Remove the knob from the base of 1.
the seat.
Position the seat over the seat pan, 2.
with the two forward seat mount tabs
fitting into the provided grooves.
Slide the seat 3.
rearward and
align the center
mounting hole
in the seat with
the slot in the
seat pan and
secure the seat
with the knob.

Note: Steering Wheel not shown for clarity.
Fill fuel tank with clean, fresh gasoline.
Do not fill above the base of fuel tank neck.
Place PTO (Blade Engage) Lever in Off position.
Move the throttle control
into the Choke
position
Move Throttle to Fast position.
Insert the ignition key and turn it to the Start
position.
Release the key after the engine starts.
Place Shift Lever in N (neutral) position.
Fully depress the Brake Pedal.
