To use the webcam software, you will need:
A computer with an available USB port and CD drive
At least 256 MB RAM
At least 500 MB available hard disk space
Windows compatible sound card and speakers
Windows® XP SP2 or Vista™
If your system uses Windows
XP Service Pack 1 (SP1), please
update to Windows XP Service
Pack 2 (SP2). The update is free at
www.microsoft.com.
To determine which Service Pack
you currently have, right-click
on My Computer and select
Properties.
Under the General tab you will
see the System information.

Connect the USB cable to an
available USB port on your
computer.
USB ports may be located
anywhere.
Mount the webcam on your
monitor or desk.
Unfold the foot to better grip a
thin monitor.
Rotate the ball joint to adjust
the angle of view.
Insert the CD into your
CD drive and follow the
instructions on the screen.
If the install screen does not
launch automatically, open the
folders on the CD and double-
click the setup.exe file.

The InstallShield®
Wizard will guide you
through the installation
process.

Follow the same
procedure to install
the VideoImpression
software.
There is no need to
restart your computer
after installing this
software.

Capturing video from your webcam
Launch VideoImpression.
Click on the Create a New
Video button.

Click on the Capture From
Device button.

Click the red Record button to start
capturing the video. A separate
window will appear where you enter
a file name and select options. The
video file is saved to the My Videos
folder as an .avi file.

Click the Done button to return to
the VideoImpression home screen.

Click the Camera button to reopen
the video capture screen to record
another video.

Launch PhotoImpression.
Click on the Video button in the
“Get photo from...” dialog box.

When the “Capture Image from
Video” dialog box appears, click the
Live button to see the webcam view.

Click the Capture button to take a
photograph. The image is saved to
the My Pictures folder as a .jpeg file.

Click the Done button to return to
the PhotoImpression home screen.

Both software packages include Help
for further information. Click on the
Help menu and select Help or
press F1.

Regular maintenance ensures a longer product life and minimizes the
chance of causing damage to your webcam.
Always disconnect the webcam before cleaning it.
Clean the lens with a lint-free cloth.
Do not try to repair any part of this product. Only Micro Innovations
Corp may service or repair its products.
