To turn your phone on or off, press
and hold End .
Make & answer calls
To make a call from the home screen, enter a number
and press Call .
To answer a call, press Call . To turn off the
incoming call alert, press Reject.

Surf the web for cool content and more "Web" on
page 16. An optional microSD memory card can be
installed in your phone—you can fill it up with with
photos, videos and music from your computer.

1 From the home screen, press
Menu (left soft key) to open the

To open the main menu from the home screen, press
Menu (right soft key). Press © up, down, left or right
to highlight a menu option, then press ® to select
the highlighted option. You can press End to return
to the home screen at any time.

In-call options
During a call, press Options to hold, end or make a
new call and more. Press Mute to mute your call.
Press ® to turn the loudspeaker on and press ®
again to turn the loudspeaker off.
Redial
1 Press ® > > Call centre > Call history
2 Highlight the contact you want to call and then
press Call .
Save a contact
1 Enter a number on the home screen.
2 Press Options > Save to Phonebook > Add new
contact or Replace existing.
3 Enter contact details and press Done, then Yes.
Emergency calls
Note: Your service provider programmes one or more
emergency phone numbers (such as 999 or 112) that
you can call under any circumstances, even when your
phone is locked. Emergency numbers vary by country.
Your pre-programmed emergency number(s) may not

work in all locations, and sometimes an emergency
call cannot be placed due to network, environmental or
interference issues.
1 Enter the emergency number on the home screen.
2 Press Call to call the emergency number.
Cool down
In very limited circumstances, such as where your
phone has been exposed to extreme heat, “Cool
down” message screens will appear. To avoid possible
damage to your battery and phone, you should follow
these instructions until the phone is within its
recommended temperature range. When your phone
is in “Cool down” mode, only emergency calls can be
made.

Find it: ® > Messages > Writemessage
Use the keypad to enter your message. Press Options
to insert a picture, sound or video. When you finish
composing the message, press Options > Sendto to
enter phone numbers or select message recipients
from your phonebook. To send the message,
press Options > Send.
Receive a message
When you receive a message, your phone plays an
alert and shows the new message indicator at the
top of the screen.
To read the new message, press View.
To read messages stored in your inbox,
press Messages > Inbox.

> Emailaccounts, press Options > Newaccount

Note: To use the browser, you must have data service
activated for your account (additional fees may apply

Use your phones browser to surf your favourite
websites, upload videos to a video blog and download
files and applications to your phone. Log onto your
Internet-based email account to check your email.
Find it: ® > Services > Internetservice
To go to your home page, press Homepage.
To go to a webpage, press Inputaddress.
To bookmark a webpage, press Options
> AddtoBookmarks.
To go to a link on a webpage, highlight it and
press ®.

Turn Bluetooth power on or off
Find it: ® > Settings > Connectivity
> Bluetooth > Power
When Bluetooth power is on, the Bluetooth
indicator appears in the home screen.
Note: To extend battery life, turn off Bluetooth power
when not in use.
Connect new devices
To connect with a new device, you need to pair with it.
You only need to do this once for each device—to
connect again, see "Reconnect devices" on page 19.
1 Make sure the device you are pairing with is in
discoverable mode (see device instructions).
2 Press ® > Settings > Connectivity
> Bluetooth > Searchaudiodevice.
Note: If Bluetooth power is not turned on, your
phone will ask if you want to Poweron
Bluetoothfirst? Press Yes.
3 Your phone lists the devices it finds within range.
Highlight a device and press ® to connect.
4 If necessary, enter the device passkey (like 0000) to
connect to the device.
