TIPS FOR COOKING PORRIDGE
1. Do not open the lid when porridge cooking time is within 1.5
hours.
2. Please open the lid when porridge cooking time is beyond 1.5
hours.
3. The normal porridge cooking time is about 1.5 hour. However
you may adjust the time as your personal taste requirement.
4. You may adjust the water level as your taste required.
CAUTION: The water and uncooked rice do not exceed the
MAX water level.
HINTS TO COOK GOOD RICE
1. Use provided cup to measure rice cup level by topping up until
its rim. Provided cup’s capacity is about 180 ml.
2. Firstly, add enough water, then wash and pour away
immediately. Rice will absorb water initially. To get rid of rice
odour, wash the rice properly. As water temperature low, rice
will not absorb water easily. It can prevent rice smell.
3. Add more water to clean until water clean. If wash too hard,
broken rice powder will dissolve in water and causing smelly
and starchy after cooked.
4. Be careful of water amount. Please note the water amount
always depend on quantity of rice. Different kinds of rice
produce different localities, hard or soft.
5. Summer soak for 30 minutes, winter soak for 1 hour or more. If
rice contains water, it can become un-transparent.
6. Use spoon to stir the rice evenly after cooked, to let some
extra water vaporize.
7. Correct way of keeping warm. Small amount of rice should be
kept in the centre of the pot. Cool rice and spoon place in the
pot for keep warm will produce unpleasant odor.
