ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
Check tht the mins voltge mtches with the
voltge on the dt plte inside the rngehood.
Check tht the instlltion complies with
stndrds of locl building, gs nd electricl
uthorities.
Before connecting to the mins supply ensure
tht the mins voltge corresponds to the
voltge on the rting plte inside the rngehood.
Only plug this unit into  properly erthed outlet.
If in doubt seek dvise from  suitbly qulied
person or service gent.
WARNING: If the supply cord is dmged, it must
be replced by the mnufcturer or its service
gent or similrly qulied person in order to void
 hzrd.
WARNING: All electricl work must be done in
ccordnce with locl nd ntionl electricl codes
s pplicble nd should be undertken
by licenced nd qulied persons only. Filure to
follow these instructions cn result in deth, re or
electricl shock.
SAFETY WARNINGS: FOR THE INSTALLER
When instlling the rngehood, mke sure you
dhere to the minimum nd mximum distnces
from the rngehood bse to the cooktop surfce
(s per tble on pge 10).
Exhaust ue installation:
The following rules must be strictly followed to
obtin optiml ir extrction.
Keep exhust ue short nd stright.
Do not reduce the size or restrict exhust ue.
Keep bends in the exhust ue to  minimum;
the more bends the lower the extrction
performnce.
When using exible ue lwys instll
duct with helix pulled tut to minimise
pressure loss.
Filure to observe these bsic instructions will
drsticlly reduce the performnce nd increse
the noise levels of the rngehood.
Exhust ir must not be dischrged into  wll
cvity, unless the cvity is designed for tht
purpose. The exhust from the rngehood
must not be dischrged into ny heting ue, which
my crry combustion products from other sources.
NOTE: Some instlltions my require the
expndble/telescopic ducting to be cut to length.
Cut with shrp tin snips or  ne-tooth hck
sw blde, tking cre not to distort or dent the
exhust cover. Where using expndble ducting,
it’s importnt to hve the ducting fully tught to
mximise eciency of the irow.
Important notice regarding the extraction mode.
WARNING: Risk of poisoning from exhust gses
sucked bck. Never operte the device in extrction
mode simultneously with n open ue pplince
when there is not dequte irow gurnteed.
esatto.house

Open ue combustion equipment (for exmple,
gs, oil, wood or col-red heters, tnkless wter
heters, wter heters) pulls combustion ir from
the room nd runs it through n exhust pipe or
chimney to the outside. In the extrction mode,
indoor ir is removed from the kitchen nd the
djcent rooms without sucient ir intke this
cretes  vcuum. Toxic gses from the chimney or
extrction ue cn thereby be sucked bck into the
living spces.
Alwys ensure tht  sucient supply of fresh ir
is gurnteed nd tht the ir cn circulte.
An ir supply / extrctor box lone does not
ensure complince with the limit vlue.
Sfe opertion is only possible when the negtive
pressure in the room where the pplince is locted
does not exceed 4 P (0.04 mbr). This cn be
chieved when the ir required for combustion cn
ow through openings tht re not closble, for
exmple in doors, windows, in conjunction with n
ir supply / extrctor box or through other technicl
mesures. In ny cse, consult  qulied chimney
sweep who cn ssess the entire ventiltion of
your house nd propose pproprite mesures for
dequte ventiltion.
If the rngehood is used exclusively in the
recircultion mode, unrestricted opertion
is possible.

Ensure tht the rngehood is mounted in 
level position, both horizontlly nd verticlly.
This is essentil to ensure the rngehood
opertes correctly nd prevents grese build
up t one end.
IMPORTANT: Never use  silicone round
your rngehood or ue pieces. Never instll the
rngehood or ue pieces into the plster ceiling
which prevents esy ccess to the rngehood for
servicing requirements.
IMPORTANT: Before instlling your rngehood,
plese record the detils of your rngehood’s rting
lbel (locted within the rngehood, behind the
luminium grese lters) into the form on pge 19.
This will be helpful should you need to contct our

WARNING: All ducting must be re retrdnt.
Depending on your sitution, there re multiple
options for ducting your rngehood, s follows:
Stright up through your tiled or metl roof,
using  roof cowl (not supplied with the
rngehood).
Into your ceiling cvity (where complint with

Into your ceiling cvity nd then vented to the
tmosphere through your eves, using no more
thn 2 × 90 degree bends within the ducting run.
Through your wll.
IMPORTANT: Ducting cn hve  mjor eect on
your rngehoods performnce. The following tips
outline how to correctly duct your rngehood.
Alwys use the correct size ducting.
This rngehood is designed for use with 150mm
ducting to chieve optimum irow performnce
nd minimised noise.
For mximum performnce use semi rigid
or rigid ducting.
Alwys use non-mmble ducting
Alwys duct to the outside tmosphere, unless
your locl building codes nd regultions permit
otherwise.
Where using exible ducting, lwys instll the
ducting pulled tut to minimize pressure loss,
nd cut ny excess ducting o.
Where possible, void using 90 degree bends
nd in their plce use multiple 45 degree bends.
Keep your totl length of ducting to the shortest
length possible.
Ensure there re no kinks in your ducting.
Use cylindricl ducting whenever possible.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
Check tht the instlltion complies with the
stndrds of locl building, gs nd electricl
uthorities. Before connecting your rngehood to
the mins supply, ensure tht the mins voltge
corresponds to the voltge on the rting plte inside
the rngehood.
Instlltion steps
NOTE: Do not connect the power cble until the
instlltion is complete! Alwys perform instlltion
with two people to void injuries.
The typicl instlltion method for your
undermount rngehood is into  purpose built
overhed/wll cbinet.
1. Remove the metl grese lter (C).
2. Using  jigsw, crete the required cut-out
for your undermount rngehood, s per the
mesures dimensions in the tble on pge 8.
Mke sure the cut-out is t lest 35mm from the
cbinet edge.
3. Drill  hole in the cbinet, which will lter guide
the power cord.
4. Remove the screws on the frme (B) nd unscrew
the two globes. Ensure tht the two clips on
both sides of the rngehood re suitble for the
thickness of the re where the rngehood is
instlled. If this is not the cse, djust the clips
using the screws.
5. Lift the rngehood to the opening in the wll
cbinet, then pss the power cord through the
opening drilled in step 3.
