Mic100PT V2 Light Source
INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing this UFO light source.
Please read these instructions fully before connecting your unit to the electrical
supply, and keep them for future reference.
The UFO MIC100PD utilises a white light array with twinkle wheel and is suitable for
use with either glass or polymer fibre-optic harnesses.
This MicroLED is powered by a 100-240VAC PSU or LED Driver.
We do not recommend that the light source be le on for 24 hours a day, 7 days a
week as LED life will be impaired. A switch off of 30mins per day is recommended.
The UFO MIC100PD white light array is available in three target colour temperatures:
UFO Mic100PD-3: warm white (3000K)
UFO Mic100PD-4: neutral white (4000K)
UFO Mic100PD-6: cool white (6000K)
IMPORTANT
THIS PRODUCT MUST BE INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE APPLICABLE
INSTALLATION CODE BY A PERSON FAMILIAR WITH THE CONSTRUCTION AND
OPERATION OF THE PRODUCT AND THE HAZARDS INVOLVED.

TYPE Y ATTACHMENT: If the external flexible cable or cord of this luminaire or associated
PSU/driver is damaged. It shall be exclusively replaced by the manufacturer or his service
agent or a similar qualified person to avoid a hazard.
LOCATION: Do not locate this luminaire closer than 200mm from any flammable surface.
CLEARANCE/VENTILATION: It is imperative that a gap of 200mm is le around the unit. This is
to allow air to circulate and prevent overheating. The location must have free ventilation and
must not have a ambient temperature higher than that specified for the luminaire.
MOUNTING: This is a fixed luminaire. See separate mounting plate instructions for fixing to
surface.
WARNING: Never look directly into the Luminaire LED light source.
IMPORTANT: The luminaire should be positioned so that prolonged staring into the luminaire
at a distance closer than 0.33 m is not expected.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
POWER SUPPLY REQUIREMENTS
This luminaire is powered by a 12V Power Supply Unit or 12V Constant Voltage
Driver. Remove the PSU/driver from its box. The driver caters for UK/European/other
mains supplies using the relevant power cord supplied.
Connect the jack plug into the socket in the back, and the light source is now ready
for connection.

CONNECTION
There are 2 connections required - the fibre port and the mains supply. The fibre
port should be connected first. Connect and secure the fibre optic connector into
the front of the unit, and secure using the M5 locking screw.
Plug the mains plug into the electrical supply socket. Switch on the power, the LED
indicator will illuminate, and the light source and the twinkle wheel will start up
automatically. If no light is produced consult the troubleshooting section.
NOTE: THESE LIGHT SOURCES ARE NOT MAINS DIMMABLE.
MOUNTING
If using the metal mounting plate proceed as follows:
STEP 1
Remove the rubber feet from the bottom of the Light Source
STEP 2
Push fit three of the expansion fittings into the holes vacated by the feet as shown –
DO NOT fit an expansion fitting into the foot hole at the rear below the push buttons
STEP 3
Place the mounting plate on the base as shown and push the remaining expansion
fitting through the plate into the hole that does not have one fitted. Fit all four
screws and tighten. Do not over tighten
The luminaire can now be fixed securely to the mounting surface.

OPERATION
This is a standalone static twinkle white light unit. Once setup according to the
connection instructions the unit is ready for use.
The unit has two control push buttons on the rear. These buttons are push and
release momentary action type.
Upper button: controls motor speed
Lower button: controls dimming
MAINTENANCE
Date Maintenance Undertaken
Please note that a record of all maintenance MUST be kept in the table below,
indicating what maintenance was undertaken and when. This must be DATED
for warranty purposes.
Disconnect unit from power supply and allow to cool before attempting any
cleaning of the unit.
A visual check of the unit should be completed every 12 months. However cleaning
should take place as and when required.
The body of the unit can be cleaned with a so, damp cloth - do not use any
abrasives on the unit.
