Mac Energy Saver Configuration
for a CyberPower UPS
Apple’s Energy Saver power management software has the capability of reducing the energy consumption of UPS devices.
CyberPower UPS systems that feature a HID-compliant USB port are 100 percent compatible with Apple’s Energy Saver.
OSX Configuration
To configure the OSX UPS manager in the Energy Saver control
panel, complete the following steps:
1. Make sure that your computer and the CyberPower UPS are o.
2. Connect the USB cable that was included with the UPS to an
available USB port on the computer.
3. Turn on the UPS, and then start your computer.
4. After the computer has powered on (and, if required, you have
logged into your computer), open System Preferences.
5. In System Preferences, click Energy Saver.
The UPS tab will appear in the Energy Saver panel.
6. Choose Settings for UPS, and then adjust the runtime settings
to your preference.
