Cord nd Plug Sfety
1. A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce risk of becoming entngled in
or tripping over  longer cord.
2. Extension cords my be used if cre is exercised in their use.
3. If n extension cord is used:
The mrked electricl rting of the extension cord should be t lest equl
to the electricl rting of the pplince; nd
The longer cord should be rrnged so tht it will not drpe over the
countertop or tbletop where it cn be pulled on by children or tripped over.

This unit hs  polrized plug (one blde is wider thn the other).
To reduce the risk of electric shock, the plug is intended to be
used by inserting it into the electricl outlet only one wy. If the

Before First Use
Remove ll pckging mterils nd clen the funnel nd carafe with
non-brsive sop. Thoroughly dry nd replce prts. Wipe exterior with
dmp cloth.
Before brewing coee for the first time, it is recommended to clen the
system. Fill the water reservoir to the 5-cup mrk nd run  brew cycle
without coee; then discrd wter.
Ensure the funnel is completely dry before use.
USING YOUR
COFFEE MAKER
Never operte the pplince with n empty water reservoir.
Do not open the lid while brewing is in process.
Do not touch the warming plate fter brewing—it will be
extremely hot! Hold the carafe by the hndle only, s the glss
is extremely hot!
WARNING:
Setting Up
Plce the coee mker on  hrd, flt, level, het-resistnt surfce only.
Keep the re bove the pplince cler during use, s hot stem will
escpe through the top.
Plug the power cord into n outlet.
Setting the Clock
1. Press HOUR to set the hour. The time will increse by one-hour
increments fter ech press.
2. Press MINUTE to set the minute. The time will increse by one-minute
increments fter ech press.
Note:
Press nd hold HOUR or MINUTE to djust the time rpidly.
A dot will pper on the display to indicte when the time is set to PM.

Brewing Coee
1. Open the lid.
2. Fill the water reservoir with wter between the MIN nd MAX
mrkings on the water level window.
Note: Do not fill with wter below the 2-cup mrk or bove the 5-cup
mrk.
3. Pour ground coee in the coee filter.
Note: It’s best to use medium to corse coee grinds. Avoid using
finely ground coee.
4. Close the lid.
5. Plce the carafe on the warming plate.
6. Press BREW NOW. The brew light will blink during brewing. When
finished brewing, the brew light will sty lit nd enter keep warm
mode.
7. The defult keep warm setting will keep coee hot for 2 hours nd
then the coee mker will utomticlly turn o. See ADJUSTIN
KEEP WARM on pge 10 to chnge keep warm settings.
Note: While in keep warm mode, the freshness timer on the display
counts up, showing the time since the coee ws brewed.
Note: To turn o keep warm mode t ny time, press BREW NOW nd
the brew light will turn o.
Puse & Serve
The carafe must be on the warming plate to begin brewing.
During brewing, you cn remove the carafe for serving, nd the
mchine will temporrily stop dispensing.
Do not remove the carafe for more thn  minute or the
mchine will overflow.

Progrmming Brew Lter
Follow the steps below to progrm coee to brew up to 24 hours in
dvnce.
Note: Ensure time is set. See “Setting the Clock” on pge 8.
1. Follow steps 1-4 under “Brewing Coee” on pge 9.
2. Press BREW LATER, nd the brew later light will blink.
3. Adjust HOUR nd MINUTE to your desired brew strt time.
4. To confirm the time, press BREW LATER gin or wit 5 seconds. The
brew later light will remin on.
5. To cncel brew lter, press BREW LATER gin. The brew later light will
turn o.
Adjusting Keep Wrm
The defult keep warm setting will keep coee hot for 2 hours. Follow the
steps below to djust the keep warm setting:
6. Press nd hold HOUR nd MINUTE t the sme time for 3-5 seconds.
The keep warm time will pper on the display.
7. Press HOUR or MINUTE to djust keep warm time in 30-minute
increments, between OFF nd 4 hours.
8. To confirm your settings, press nd hold both HOUR nd MINUTE t the
sme time for 5 seconds, or wit 5 seconds. This setting will become
the defult keep warm setting.
Freshness Timer
When in keep warm mode, the freshness timer on the display counts up,
showing the time since the coee ws brewed.

Funnel nd Crfe
Clen with wrm sopy wter nd  non-brsive sponge.
Interior
Use  sponge or non-metl brush to clen the inside of the coee mker.
Then wipe it dry with  soft cloth.
Wrming Plte nd Exterior
Use  dmp cloth to clen the warming plate nd exterior of the
coee mker. Then wipe it dry with  soft cloth.
Do not use hrsh clening gents or metl brushes, in order to void
scrtching the stinless steel surfce.
Note: Ensure the funnel is completely dry before use.
Alwys turn o the coee mker, unplug the power cord from the
outlet, nd llow the pplince to cool before clening.
Do not immerse cord, plugs, or coee mker in wter or other liquid.

Descling
After using the coee mker for  while, limescle will begin to build up
inside the pplince. It is importnt to descle the pplince every 2-3
months. If the coee mker is used dily, the descling process should
be done monthly.
1. Fill the water reservoir with wter nd vinegr between the MIN nd
MAX mrks.
2. Plce n empty pper filter into the funnel nd close the lid.
3. Plce the empty carafe on the warming plate.
4. Press BREW NOW to strt the brewing process.
5. When the brewing process is complete, discrd the solution in the
carafe nd water reservoir.
6. Remove nd discrd the pper filter.
7. Fill the water reservoir to the MAX mrk with cool wter.
8. Return the empty carafe to the warming plate.
9. Press BREW NOW to strt brewing once gin.
10. After brewing is complete, discrd the wter in the carafe nd water
reservoir. Rinse the carafe thoroughly with clen wter.
Note: If n odor of vinegr persists, run nother cycle with wter.
