through openings as they may touch dangerous
voltage points or short-out parts that could result in a
fire or electric shock. Never spill liquid of any kind on
the product.

Do not attempt to service this product yourself as
opening or removing covers may expose you to
dangerous voltage or other hazards. Refer all servicing
to qualified service personnel.
13. Damage Requiring Service
Unplug this product from the wall outlet and refer
servicing to qualified service personnel under the
following conditions:
A)When the power-supply cord or plug is damaged,
B)If liquid has been spilled, or objects have fallen
into the product,
C)If the product has been exposed to rain or water,
D)If the product does not operate normally by
following the operating instructions. Adjust only
those controls that are covered by the operating
instructions as an improper adjustment of other
controls may result in damage and will often
require extensive work by a qualified technician
to restore the product to its normal operation,

1.Connect the Tv via the Scart lead to the DVD player
2.Turn on the Tv
3.Turn on the DVD player at the mains power switch
4.The red led will display that power is applied to the
DVD player
5.Either press the "Power" button on the player or
"Standby" on the R/C
6.This will enable the Tv to switch automatically to AV
and display the DVD "splash screen" on your Tv. If
your tv is of an older type that has not AV switching,
you must select AV manually on your Tv before
turning on the DVD player.
7.When the "Splash screen" is seen, press the Open/Close
button to open the DVD tray.
8.Place a DVD disc into the tray (label side up) and press
the Open/Close button again. (Do not push the DVD tray
to close) this may damage the mechanism.
9.The door will close and the DVD player will read the contents
of the disc and either start to play automatically or show a menu
of the discs contents.
10.To stop playing a disc, press "STOP" and remove the disc
as placing the disc.
11.When finished with the DVD Player, switch off using the Standby
button, the Tv will then revert to its normal operation.
12.If not using the DVD player again it is advisable, environmentally,
to switch the player off at the mains socket, rather than leaving in standby.

SETUP
Note: The Composite video and S-video output is always available.
3. VIDEO
[CVBS+YUV] -Select if you connected the DVD player to your TV
using the YUV(Y,Cb,Cr) output.
[YUV/P-SCAN] - Select if you connected the DVD player to your TV
using progressive scan(Y,Pb,Pr).
[CVBS+S-VIDEO]-Select if you connect the DVD player to your TV using
S-VIDEO output.
* The default setting is CVBS+S-VIDEO.
2. SCREEN SAVER
If the screen saver is on,when your DVD player is in Stop,Open,or No Disc
state,or there is a frame frozen for more than 180sec,the screen saver will
be displayed.This feature can protect the screen from damage.
[ON] - Choose this setting to activate the screen saver.
[OFF]- Choose the setting to cancel the screen saver.
* The default setting is ON.
[NTSC] -Select if you are using NTSC signal system to match your TV set.
[PAL] -Select if you are using PAL signal system to match your TV set.
[AUTO] -Select this,the DVD player will match the TV set automatically.
* The default setting is AUTO.
1. Select [TV SYSTEM] in the System Setup Menu
to display the [TV SYSTEM] Submenu:

A.Press <ENTER> to set
B.Press or repeatedly to return to the Setup Menu
4. TV TYPE
[4:3 PS] -Pan and scan refes to pictures where part of pictures is cut
off so it fills the whole screen.
[4:3 LB] -Letter Box refers to pictures where black bands appear at
the top and bottom.
[16:9] -The picture fills the screen of a wide-screen(16:9) television.
* The default setting is 4:3PS.
Note: Not all DVDs offer movies in Full Screen format. If not, the disc
will override your TV Display setting and the movie will be
displayed in Letter box format.

5. PASSWORD
The password option is initialized locked, and you cannot set the ratings
limit or change the password. In order for the Rating feature work, the
password mode must be turned on. If you want to set the ratings limit, you
will need to enter the default password, which is 0000,then press
<ENTER> to confirm. To change the password, you will be prompted for
the old password, then be prompted for a new. Enter a 4-digit number
(this is your password).

3. SUBTITLE LANG
There are 7 optional Subtitle language: Chinese,English,
Japan,French,Spanish,Portuguese and German. Select the
one you prefer.
* This option vary by disc.
1.DIGITAL OUT
[SPDIF/OFF] -To disable Dolby Digital decoder.
[SPDIF/RAM] -Choose this setting if your DVD player is connected to a
power amplifier with a coaxial cable ;
When playing a disc recorded with Dolby Digital,MPEG
audio formats,the corresponding digital signals will be
output from the Coaxial Output jacks.This players
digital output jacks are designed for a connection to a
Dolby Digital, or MPEG receiver or decoder.
[SPDIF/PCM] -Choose this setting if your DVD player is connected to a
2-channel digital stereo amplifier. When playing a disc
recorded with Dolby Digital and MPEG audio formats,
audio signals will be modulated into a 2-channel PCM signal,
and it will be output from the Coaxial Output jacks.
4. MENU LANG
There are 5 optional Menu language: Chinese,English,
French,Spanish,German.
Select the one you prefer.
* This option vary by disc.
Note:
- If your preferred language is not avaitable, the discs default
language will be played.
- The default language of your DVD player is English.

A. Press to switch between the directory window and the file window.

Note: During DIVX playback, press Fast Forward or Fast Backward to play the previous or the
next chapter, title or track. Press Skip Forward or Skip Backward to skip to previous or next chapter,

Place a DIVX disc into the tray, and the player will auto search the directories saved divx files.
After searching,it will go to the first dierectory saved divx files, and play the first file in the directory.
Note:

Picture CD Playback
General function:
You can set slideshow transition modes for any pictures.
Press <PAUSE> to stop playing.
Press <PLAY> to continue slideshow transitions.
Press <PREV> or <NEXT> to see the previous or next picture.
Press <STOP> to return to root menu.
The introduction of Picture CD
A Picture CD has the size and shape of a regular CD. You can order a Picture CD simply by checking
the box on the photo finishing envelope when you drop off a roll of film (35 mm or Advanced Photo System (APS)
color print film) at the time of processing in Express store displaying "Picture CD" sign. When your
order is returned, you receive your prints, negatives, and your full roll of pictures safely stored on your
Picture CD. Each Picture CD brings you the tools to enhance, share and manage your pictures on your
computer. You also can record the JPEG picture into CD-R or CD-RW with the CD-Rewriter yourself.
Note:
1. The Max. Size of JPEG Picture can be supported: 3840X3840 pixel.
2. JPEG stands for Joint Picture Experts Group. It is the first International Standard on Still Picture Compressing:
ISO 10918-1,constituted by the Committee on Still Picture Compressing Standard of ISO. The pictures on
Picture CD are stored in this format (JPEG). This player can decode the JPEG pictures in
Picture CD and playback the pictures in different modes. Now, you can playback Picture CDs on this
player and view your wonderful pictures on your TV in the comfort of your living room. When a Picture
CD is inserted on a player an automatic slide show is launched. Each picture in the Picture CD will be
displayed consecutively in a slide-show fashion and will be scaled to fit in the whole TV screen.
Advanced Features
Zoom Function:
Note: During the ZOOM function, slide show transitions and image rotation are disabled.
ZOOM off: close zoom, press PLAY again to resume slideshow transition mode.
This player provides both Zoom in/out and Zoom pan function. Press the <ZOOM> consecutively, the picture
will zoom in/out in turn as followings:

For your safety. If the mains plug needs replacing, proceed as follows :-
DO NOT CONNECT THE CENTRE PIN (EARTH).
Connect the Blue wire to the (N) terminal ( this may be coloured blue).
Connect the Brown wire to the (L) terminal adjacent to the fuse ( this may be coloured brown).
