INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Ventilation of rooms
Details of rooms ventilation: see your local
specific standards.
This cooker is not connected to a device to vent
the combustion products. It must thus be
installed and connected in conformity with the
installation standards in force. Particular
attention must be paid to the standards on
ventilation of the room.
Remember that this appliance can only be
installed and work in well-ventilated rooms,
according to the standards in force, such as to
allow, with openings on the external walls or
with special ducts, correct natural or forced
ventilation to ensure permanently and
sufficiently both the entry of the air needed for
correct combustion and the removal of spent air.
Remember that the quantity of air necessary for
combustion must never be less than 2 m
3
/h for
each kW of power (see total power in kW on the
appliance data plate).
The use of a gas cooking appliance results in the
production of heat and moisture in the room in
which it is installed. Ensure that the kitchen is
well ventilated: keep natural ventilation holes
open or install a mechanical ventilation device
(mechanical extractor hood).
Prolonged intensive use of the appliance may
call for additional ventilation, for example
opening of a window, or more effective
ventilation, for example increasing the level of
mechanical ventilation where present.
In particular when there is only this gas
appliance in the room, there must be a hood
over the appliance to ensure the natural and
direct removal of spent air, with a vertical
straight duct of length equal to at least twice the
diameter and a minimum section of at least
100 cm
2
. For the indispensable entry of fresh air
into the room there must be a similar 100 cm
2
opening directly to the outside, situated at a
height near floor level so that it is not blocked
either inside or outside the wall and so as not to
cause disturbances to correct burner
combustion and to the regular removal of spent
air and with a difference of height with respect to
the outlet opening of at least 180 cm.
In all cases, i.e. when there are other gas
appliances in the same room, or when natural
direct ventilation is not possible and natural
indirect or forced ventilation must be installed,
contact a qualified specialist who will install and
make the ventilation system, scrupulously
observing the regulations contained in the
standards in force.
The openings must be so positioned that there
are no draughts of air which cannot be tolerated
by the occupants.
19
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
The cooker is set for the gas stated on the
space under the drawer next to the rating
plate. For cooker without drawer it is stated on
the rear panel.
Installation and servicing of the appliance must
be performed by a qualified technician in
accordance with the conditions stated in the
applicable regulatory documents and codes of
practice.
Details of connection: see your local specific
standards.
The cooker must be connected to the gas piping
in a workmanlike way and in conformity with the
regulations in force which lay down the
installation of a safety valve at the end of the
piping. For butane and propane a pressure
reducer conforming to the standards in force
may perform this task. The end of the cooker
side attachment is threaded.
There are three possible connections:
- by rigid pipe (Fig. A);
- by flexible tube with mechanical connections
(Fig. B);
- by the insertion of a threaded union and a
rubber tube (Fig. C), conforming to the
regulations in force.
Once the appliance has been connected, check
the connection seal by means of soapy water.
Warning: The flexible tube must never reach, at
any point, a temperature more than 70°C above
room temperature. Do not submit it to torsion or
stress. It must not be choked or have sharp
bends.
- Fix the gas hose by means of the appropriate
clamps positioned on the cooker rear panel,
at the bottom.
It should be replaced periodically.
Make sure to replace the flexible hose before
the expiry date marked on the hose itself.
Both ends must always be secured by means of
a hose clamp F (Fig. C).
Important
Position the pipe as illustrated in Fig. 1. The pipe
must be as short as possible (max: 2 m for
natural gas and 1.5 m for butane and propane)
but must not come into contact with the back or
side wall of the cooker.
Respect the assembly and use conditions
described in the instruction of the connecting
tube or pipe and make sure that the assembly is
leak-tight.
Adjustment to different types of gas
If the appliance is intended to operate with a
different gas from the supply gas, proceed as
follows:
- change the injectors;
- adjust the minimum flow;
- replace the connector if necessary, in
accordance with your local specific standards;
- adjust primary air for oven;
- adjusting or replacing of gas pressure
regulator if it is installed;
- replace old sticker “adjusted for gas..." by new
one, which is supplied with nozzles.

distributors. The injector is now accessible.
Unscrew the injector A (Fig. 1) and replace it
with the injector of the diameter appropriate for
the burner and gas to be used, in accordance
with Injector Table relevant to the country.
Following each new adaptation to a different gas
type, change the information label relating to the
supply gas.
Reassemble burner tops, making sure they are
reassembled in the correct way on the burner
body.
Air adjustment
The air-gas of the hob burners is mixed by the
construction of the injectors. There is no need to
correct it.
Check that the burner is working properly: the
flame must be blue and sharp, without a yellow
tip.
Minimum output adjustment (Fig. 2)
The gas minimum output is correctly adjusted
when the inner cone of the flame is 2 to 4 mm in
height. If this is not the case, first remove the tap
knob and then tighten or loosen screw C,
depending on whether the flame is to be reduced
or increased.
The adjustment must be made so that the end
position of the tap is the minimum position.
For butane/propane, screw C must be screwed
in fully.
