Title: Installation LVP and WPC LVP Reducer Rev.:0
LVP and WPC LVP Reducer
Reducer is used to transition between flooring of different heights. For example: Vinyl to wood flooring or
vinyl to concrete or wood subfloor. It can also be used to cap the edge of flooring. For example: At fire place
hearth or door threshold.
Step 1.
Position the reducer trim and the flooring as depicted in the
picture. The overlapping edge of the trim rests on top of the
flooring edge. Ensure there is expansion gap between the
edge of the free planks and the trim.
Step 2.
Mark a line where the other flooring has to be trimmed.
Step 3.
Cut the excess other flooring off. Apply beads of glue on the
subfloor where the leading edge of the trim will be adhered to
the subfloor.
Step 4.
Press the trim against the subfloor to ensure secure contact
with subfloor along the length of the trim. Clean off excess
glue.

Step 5.
Allow the glue to dry or cure. Follow the adhesive
manufacturer’s instruction for the length of time for the glue
to dry.
Note on Adhesive
We do not make a recommendation on specific glue to use. Most general purpose construction glue should
work. There are a variety of suitable adhesives. Call the manufacturer if you have any question about any of
the glue. Select the one which is best suited to your own needs.
In our experiment, we used Liquid Nail Heavy Duty Construction Adhesive model LN901.
