Installation Instructions

Use this kit to modify the frame of a Bluebird Bagger to fit around the crossover tailpipe.

Loose Parts

Bagger support bracket

Bolt, 5/16 x 1 in.

Locknut, 5/16 in.

Bolt, 5/16 in. x 2–3/4 in.

Connect the bagger to the machine.

Components around engine will be hot if the

machine has been running. Touching hot

components can cause burns.

• Do not touch engine components when hot.

• Allow engine to cool before performing

maintenance.

Warning

Modifying the Tailpipe Guards

and Bagger Frame

1. Before installing the left tailpipe guard, cut a section of

the guard out as illustrated in Figure 1.

2. Before installing the right tailpipe guard, remove a

section of the right tailpipe guard as shown in Figure 2.

3. Cut the right–hand cross tube from the bagger frame.

See Figure 3.

4. Before installing the right tailpipe guard, remove a

section of the bagger frame as shown in Figure 4.

Installing the Bagger Support

Bracket

1. Install the right tailpipe guard. Refer to the Exhaust Kit

for hardware and instructions.

2. Slide the new bagger support bracket onto the bagger

frame (Figures 3 and 4).

3. Using the new bagger support bracket as a template,

mark the two holes in the new bagger support bracket

(Fig. 1).

4. Drill 2 holes (11/32 in. diameter) into the right side of

the machine frame (Fig. 5).

5. Secure the bagger support bracket to the machine frame

with 2 bolts (5/16 x 1 in.) and flange nuts (5/16 in.)

(Fig. 5).

6. Secure the bagger support bracket to the bagger frame

with a bolt (5/16 x 2–3/4 in.) and a flange nut (5/16 in.)

(Fig. 5).
