1 Unwrap the cord and make sure
the speed switch a is in the off “O”
position. Ensure the tool storage f
has been removed.
2 Insert the beaters or kneaders 1
turn and push until a positive click is
felt.
Important: The kneader with the
collar d will only fit into the larger
socket.
3 Plug in.
4 With the ingredients in a bowl of an
appropriate size, place the beaters/
kneaders into the bowl.
5 Pull the speed switch backwards
to reach the desired speed (the first
dot on the handmixer body is the
slowest speed setting). Line up the
dot on the side of the speed switch
with the corresponding speed.

Always unplug the appliance when not in
use, before fitting or removing parts or before
cleaning.
l
Appliances can be used by persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use
of the appliance in a safe way and if they
understand the hazards involved.

Children should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the appliance.

Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach

Only use the appliance for its intended

As the mixture thickens, increase the
speed.
l
If the machine starts to slow or
labour, increase the speed.
l
Move the speed switch forwards
to the pulse “P” position to operate
the motor at maximum speed. The
motor will operate for as long as the
pulse is held in position.
6 When the mixture has reached the
desired consistency, return the
speed switch to the off “O” position
and then lift the beaters/kneaders
out of the bowl.
7 To remove the tools, make sure
the speed switch is in the off “O”
position and unplug the handmixer.
Press the tool release button b.
Hold onto the tool shafts when
ejecting the tools.
Important:
l
kneaders only - when making
bread dough, we recommend that
the dough load does not exceed
450g flour.

When creaming for cake mixtures,
use butter or margarine at room
temperature or soften before use.
l
To avoid overloading your mixing
bowl, select one of an appropriate
size.
l
Large quantities and thick mixtures
may require a longer mixing time.
l
When whipping cream, use of a
high-sided bowl is recommended to
minimise splashing.
l
Switch it off as soon as you’ve got
the right consistency.

Please note that these are recommendations only and the speed you select may
depend upon the bowl size, quantities, the ingredients you are mixing and
personal preference.
Gradually increase to the recommended speeds below.

At the end of its working life, the
product must not be disposed of as
urban waste.
It must be taken to a special local
authority differentiated waste collection
centre or to a dealer providing this
service.
Disposing of a household appliance
separately avoids possible negative
consequences for the environment
and health deriving from inappropriate
disposal and enables the constituent
materials to be recovered to obtain
significant savings in energy and
resources. As a reminder of the need
to dispose of household appliances
separately, the product is marked with
a crossed-out wheeled dustbin.

300g plain flour
180g rye flour
180g sugar
15g/1 tbsp baking powder
300g clear runny honey
60ml milk
1 egg
1 Fit the beaters and place all the
ingredients in the bowl.
2 Select and hold the Pulse (P) and
mix for 30 seconds.
3 Place the bowl with the mix
in a warm place and leave for
20 minutes.
4 Then select and hold the Pulse (P)
and mix the ingredients for a further
70seconds.
5 Transfer the mix into a non stick
square baking tin (19cm X 4cm
deep ) and then bake at 165°C/
325°F/ Gas Mark 3 for 40 - 45
minutes.
6 Remove from the oven and leave to
rest for 10 minutes.
7 Then turn out onto a cooling rack
and allow to cool before serving.
8 Note: this is a heavy mix and it
is recommended to allow the
handmixer to cool for 15 minutes
between operations.
