FU80/NF80/QS80 | Addendum for software release 1.3 | 1
This addendum documents important updates that are included
in the FU80, FU80 and QS80 software version 1.3. This software
version is done to cover new requirements in edition 2 of display
standard IEC 62288.
The FU80/NF80/QS80 User manual (988-10199-005) is updated
to include all new features. The manuals is available for download
from navico-commercial.com and simrad-yachting.com.
The following changes have been made to the software:
Changes to the Alert system
If the remote units are installed in a system that has to comply
with regulation for alert handling as dened in edition 2 of
display standard IEC 62288, the Alert handling has to be set to
SOLAS.
In SOLAS alert handling mode, the following applies:
- all alert handling has to be done from an AP70/80 control
unit
- any remote unit will not make an alert sound, and alerts are
identied by text only
Press CMD key on the remote unit to return to last active mode
display. The icon remains on the display until the alert is
rectied.

New status icon
A new screen alive indicator icons has been added. The indicator
is a black square moving up/down in the top left corner of the
screen.
