- When you chop onions, turn the control knob to PULSE a few times to prevent the onions
from becoming too nely chopped.
- Do not let the appliance run too long when you chop (hard) cheese or chocolate. Otherwise
these ingredients become too hot, start to melt and turn lumpy.
- Do not use the blade to chop very hard ingredients like coffee beans, turmeric, nutmeg and ice
cubes, as this may cause the blade to get blunt.
- The standard processing time for all chopping jobs is 30-60 seconds.
- If food sticks to the blade or to the wall of the bowl, switch off the appliance and unplug it. Then
use a spatula to remove the food from the blade or from the wall of the bowl.

The blender is intended for:
- Blending uids, e.g. dairy products, sauces, fruit juices, soups, mixed drinks, shakes.
- Mixing soft ingredients, e.g. pancake batter or mayonnaise.
- Pureeing cooked ingredients, e.g. for making baby food.
1 Turn the screw cap anticlockwise (1) and remove it from the motor unit (2) (Fig. 19).
2 Place the blender jar on the motor unit (1) and turn it clockwise to x it (2). The handle has
to point to the left (Fig. 20).
Do not exert too much pressure on the handle of the blender jar.
3 Put the ingredients in the blender jar (Fig. 21).
Never ll the blender jar with ingredients hotter than 80ºC.

To avoid spillage, never ll the jar above the maximum level indication, particularly not when you
blend hot liquids.
4 Close the lid and insert the stopper into the lid.
5 Select speed 2 to switch on the appliance.
- The blender continues to run until you set the control knob to O.
Never put your hand or any object in the jar while the blender is running.

- While the appliance is running, you can put liquid or solid ingredients in the blender jar through
the opening in the lid (Fig. 22).
- The longer you let the appliance run, the ner the blending result will be.
- Pre-cut solid ingredients into smaller pieces before you put them in the blender jar. If you want
to prepare a large quantity, process small batches of ingredients instead of a large quantity at
once.
- To crush ice cubes, put the cubes in the jar, close the lid and turn the control knob to the pulse
setting a few times.
- Some ingredients, e.g. fruits, are easier to blend if you add some liquid e.g. lemon juice.
- When you blend soup, use cooked ingredients.
- If you are not satised with the results, turn the control knob to the pulse setting a few times to
let the appliance run briey. You can also try to get a better result by stirring the ingredients with
a spatula (not while the blender is running), or by pouring out some of the contents in order to
process a smaller amount.
- When you process a liquid that is hot or tends to foam (e.g. milk), do not put more than 1 litre
in the blender jar to avoid spillage.
- If food sticks to the wall of the blender jar, switch off the appliance and unplug it. Then use a
spatula to remove the food from the wall.

5 Put the stopper in the lid. (Fig. 25)
6 Select speed 2 to switch on the appliance.
7 When you have nished processing, set the control knob to O.
Leave the lid closed, leave the stopper in the lid and leave the lter in the jar.
8 Remove the blender jar from the motor unit. Pour out the drink through the spout of the
blender jar (Fig. 26).
9 For optimal results, put the jar with the remaining ingredients (and some liquid, if necessary)
back onto the appliance and let it run for a few more seconds.
10 Pour out the rest of the drink.
12

- When you process a large quantity, we advise you not to put all the ingredients in the lter at
the same time. Start to process a small quantity and let the appliance run for a few seconds.
Then switch off the appliance and add another small quantity. Repeat this procedure until you
have processed all the ingredients. Always keep the lid closed during processing.
- To get the best result when you make fruit juices and cocktails, add approx. 300ml water to
150g fruit. You can also use other liquids, e.g. to make cocktails.
- Soak hard ingredients, e.g. soy beans, before you process them.

1 Turn the screw cap anticlockwise (1) and remove it from the motor unit (Fig. 27).
2 Place the pulp container on the motor unit (Fig. 28).
3 Insert the sieve (Fig. 29).
Always check the sieve before use. Do not use the sieve if you notice any damage like cracks,
crazes or a loose grating disc.
4 Put the lid on the pulp container and fasten the clamp (Fig. 30).
Make sure the lid is properly locked.
5 Pre-cut large ingredients into chunks that t in the feeding tube.
6 Put a glass or jar under the spout (Fig. 31)
7 Select speed 2 to switch on the appliance.
8 Put the ingredients in the feeding tube. Push down the ingredients with the pusher.
Keep the pusher in the feeding tube as much as possible to avoid splashing.
Never use your ngers or an object (e.g. a spatula) to push ingredients down the feeding tube
while the appliance is running. Only use the pusher for this purpose.
9 When you have nished processing, set the control knob to O.

- If the pulp container becomes full during processing, switch off the appliance and wait until the
sieve stops rotating. Unfasten the clamp and remove the lid. Remove the sieve. Remove the pulp
container from the motor unit and empty it. Clean the sieve. Reassemble the juicer and switch it
on again.
- You do not have to remove thin peels or skins. Only remove peels you would not eat, e.g. those
of oranges, pineapples and uncooked beetroots.
- Always use fresh fruits and vegetables. They contain more juice.
- Leaves and leaf stalks of for instance lettuce can also be processed in the juicer.
- Remove the stone of fruit with large stones such as cherries, plums, peaches, apricots.
- Apple juice turns brown very quickly. You can slow down this process by adding a few drops of
lemon juice.
- You can use the pulp of carrots, beetroots, cabbage and spinach as the basis for soups and
sauces. Boil the pulp and add some herbs. Puree the pulp in the blender. You can use tomato
pulp to make tomato paste.
- Firm fruits that contain a lot of starch, such as bananas, papayas, avocados, gs and mangoes, are
not suitable for processing in the juicer. Use the blender to process these fruits.
- The juicer is not suitable for processing very hard and/or brous fruits or vegetables such as
sugar cane.

correctly on the motor unit. If you are using the blender jar, make sure
the rib on the blender jar is directly opposite the print on the motor
housing. If you are using the food processor, make sure that the dots
indicated on the bowl and lid are directly opposite each other and the
dot on the bowl is directly opposite the dot on the motor unit. If all
parts are assembled correctly, the appliance starts to operate when you
turn the control knob to PULSE or to speed 1 or 2.
The
appliance suddenly
stops running.
The thermal safety cut-out has probably cut off the power supply to the
appliance because the appliance has overheated. 1) Turn the control
knob to O to switch off the appliance. Unplug the appliance. 2) Let the
appliance cool down for 1 hour. 3) Put the mains plug in the socket. 4)
Switch on the appliance again.
Both the blender jar
and the food
processor bowl are
attached, but only the
blender works.
If both the blender and the food processor are assembled correctly onto
the motor unit, only the blender works. If you want to use the food
processor, remove the blender from the motor unit and screw the screw
cap onto the motor unit.
The balloon beater or
kneading accessory
does not turn.
Make sure the balloon beater or kneading accessory is assembled
properly onto the tool holder. Also make sure the food processor bowl
and the lid are assembled properly (‘click’).
The meat looks as if it
has been ‘pressed
through’ rather than
minced.
Make sure the cutting edges of the cutter unit point outwards.
The meat mincer does
not work.
Make sure the gear housing and the cutter housing are assembled
properly (‘click’).
I cannot place the
cutter unit properly in
the cutter housing.
Unscrew the screw ring a little and then place the cutter unit and the
grinding disc properly onto the worm shaft. Then screw the screw ring
properly onto the cutter housing.
The meat mincing
result is too coarse.
You used the medium grinding disc. Use the ne one. Mince the meat
again to get a ner result.
The metal parts of the
meat mincer look
rusty.
You have probably cleaned these parts in the dishwasher. You have to
clean all parts of the meat mincer by hand and dry them immediately
with a tea towel.
