20 Sensor Calibration

The M100 DR features for pH/ORP and pH/pNa sensors the following sensor calibration
methods: pH Process, pH 1-point, pH 2-point, ORP Process, ORP 1-point and OPR 2-point.
After selecting the calibration method, you will be guided through the required steps.
Below, one calibration method is described in detail. For the other calibration methods follow the
menu. For the “Process” calibration method see Chapter 6.2 “Process Calibration” on Page 18.
For further information concerning the sensor see the used sensor’s documentation.
1. Select the menu.
Menu path: Device Setup > Detailed Setup > Measurements
2. Select for the parameter the stability criteria of the sensor signal.
See Chapter 7.6.2.2 “pH (pH/ORP and pH/pNa)” on Page 33.
3. Select for the parameter the used Buffer.
4. Select menu. Menu path: Device Setup > Sensor Calibration
5. Select calibration method, here “pH 2-point”.
⇒ The following message appears: “Press [OK] when sensor is in Buffer 1”.
6. Place sensor in the first buffer.
7. Click [OK].
⇒ If for the parameter the option “Manual” is selected, the current “Reference Value“,
“Sensor Value” and “Status” will be shown. Click [Next] if the “Sensor value” is stable
enough. If for the parameter the option “Low”, “Medium” or “Strict” is selected,
thetransmitter saves the sensor value automatically as soon as the stability criteria are ful-
filled.
⇒ The following message appears “Press [OK] when sensor is in Buffer 2”.
8. Place sensor in the second buffer.
9. Click [OK].
⇒ If for the parameter the option “Manual” is selected, the current “Reference Value“,
“Sensor Value” and “Status” will be shown. Click [Next] if the “Sensor value” is stable
enough. If for the parameter the option “Low”, “Medium” or “Strict” is selected,
thetransmitter saves the sensor value automatically as soon as the stability criteria are ful-
filled.
⇒ If the calibration is within the valid range, the ”Slope” and ”Offset” are shown.
10. Click [OK].
⇒ The following message appears “Complete calibration procedure. Select either Adjust,
Calibrate or Abort”.
11. Select Adjust, Calibrate or Abort.
12. Click [OK].
