deviceisnotintendedtosustainorsupportlife.

Theoxygenconcentrationleveloftheoutputgasrangesfrom87%
to95.6%.Theoxygenisdeliveredtothepatientthroughtheuse
ofanasalcannula.Whenthedemandforoxygenisdetected,the
oxygenisdeliveredthroughpulsedflowwithpulseflowsettingsof1
through5.
TheInvacareportableconcentratoriscapableofoperationbythe
patientinahomeenvironment,inaninstitutionalenvironmentor
inavehicleorothermobileenvironment.Devicestandardpower
optionsincludeanACtoDCswitchingpowersupplyoperatingfrom
ACpoweroutlet(120VAC/60Hertzor230VAC/50Hertznominal),
aDCtoDCswitchingpowersupplyoperatingfromaccessory

thenoutputabriefaudiblebeepwhenfirstturnedontoindicatetheunitisoperational.
BreathDetectIndicator
TheXPO
2
concentratorwilldeliverameasuredpulseofoxygeneachtimeitdetectsaninhalation.The
blueflowsettingindicatorlightwillblinkeachtimeaninhalationisdetectedandtheXPO
2
concentrator
outputsapulseofoxygen.
InternalBatteryChargingIndicator Whentheconcentratorisnotturnedon,buttheAC,orDC,chargerisconnectedtotheconcentrator
andprovidingpower,theBatteryGaugeDisplaywillsequentiallyilluminateeachofthefoursegments.
Periodicallythesequentialilluminationwillbeinterruptedbytheactualbatterychargedisplay.
Iftheconcentratorisfullycharged,allfoursegmentswillbeilluminatedcontinuouslyuntilthe
concentratoristurnedon,orremovedfromchargerpower.IfnoBatteryGaugeDisplaysegments
areilluminated,theconcentratorisnotcharging.Thelackofchargingcouldbeduetoeitheralossof
power,loosechargerconnectionsortheinternalbatteryisnotatthepropertemperatureforcharging.
Allowtheunittowarm,orcool,torecommendedchargingtemperaturerange(see2.1TypicalProduct
Parameters,page9),checkforlooseconnectionsand/ortryadifferentpoweroutlet.
AudibleAlarms Totemporarilysilencetheaudiblealarms,quicklypresstheOn/Offbutton.ExceptforthesystemToo
Hot/TooColdalarms,thisfeaturewillresetitself,every30seconds,eachtimeanewalarmistriggered,
oriftheunitisturnedOff.WhenperformedduringthesystemTooHot/TooColdalarms,theaudible
