Getting Started

Phone Views
A working internet connection is needed to use your phone.
1. Take your phone’s components indicated above out of your phone package.
2. Follow the instructions below based on your network’s requirements.
a. Phones with Power Supply
i. Connect the power adapter to the DC port.
ii. Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the LAN port on your phone and the other end of the cable to the Internet port.
iii. Plug the handset cord into the handset port on your phone and into the handset.
iv. Plug the power cord of the power adapter into a power outlet.
b. Phones with Power over Ethernet (PoE)
i. Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the LAN port on your phone and the oth
er end of the cable to the Internet port.
ii. Plug the handset cord into the handset port on your phone and into the handset.
3. Once your phone is connected to power and your network, it will automatically reboot and will be ready to use after 3 minutes.
Setting Up Your Phone
Your phone has three main views: Home, Lines, and Calls view. You can access Home and Lines View at any time.
For Home view from any menu, press .
Press to alternate between Home and Lines view.

Home View
Entering Data
1. Use the dialpad keys to enter information. To backspace, press Backspace .
2. To type with dialpad keys, press a key repeatedly to view the character options and stop to select.
3. To type other characters, press Encoding. When using the dialpad keys, use the 1, *, 0, and # keys.
About Calls
Only one call can be active at one time.
You can use the handset, speakerphone, or headset for calls. During a call, you can change modes by picking up the handset,
or by pressing or .
Home View displays icons you can select to access phone functions. You can use the right, left, up, and down arrows keys to display more
icons.
Lines View
Lines View displays phone Lines, Favorites, and Keys. If your phone is idle, you can press the Line key to access the Dialer.
Calls View
If your phone has one or more calls, you can access Calls View.
Placing Calls
1. Pick up the handset, or press or .
2. Enter the phone number, and press Send.
3. Or do one of the following:
Enter the phone numberrst, then press Dial, and pick up the handset, or press .
From Lines view, press the Line key, enter the phone number, and select Send.
From Home view, select New Call, enter the phone number, and press Send.
Timesaver: Placing Calls Quickly
Select a recent call or Favorite, or select a contact’s phone number in the Contact Directory.

Forward All Calls
1. Select Forward on the home screen and choose Always, No Answer, or Busy and enter the contacts number and select Enable.
If you choose No Answer, enter the number of rings before the call is forwarded.
2. To disable call forwarding, select Forward on the home or idle screen. Select the forwarding type to disable and press Disable.

To answer a call using the handset, pick up the handset.
To answer a call with the speakerphone, press .
To answer a call using a headset, press .
To answer a new call while on an active call, press Answer. The current call will be held.
Answering Calls
1. Replace the handset in the cradle
2. Or do one of the following:
To end an active call, replace the handset in the cradle, press or , or press End Call.
To end a held call, highlight the held call. Press Resume and then press End Call.
Ending Calls
1. To hold a call, highlight the call and press Hold.
2. To resume a held call, press Resume.
Holding Calls
1. Press or hold Transfer and call the other party.
2. Press Blind to complete the transfer without announcing the transfer to the second party.
Transferring Calls
1. To forward an incoming call, press Forward on the incoming call screen and enter the contacts number.
2. Then press Forward.

View your Favorites list
1. From Home view, press and select Directories > Favorites.
Favorite a Contact
1. Navigate to your Contact Directory and select the contact. Enter a number between 1 and 99 in the Favorite Indexeld.
Dial a Favorite
1. Press the Favorite from Home or Lines view or from your Favorites list.
View your Directory
1. From the Home screen, select Dirs > Contact Directory.
Add a Contact
1. Navigate to your Contact Directory and press Add.
2. Enter the contact’s information and press Save.
1. Call therst party and after the call connects, press Conference.
2. Call your second contact and after your contact answers, press Conference again.
3. Select Hold to hold all participants.
Placing Conference Calls
Favorites are contacts you call most often. Your favorites list displays all your Favorites. A smaller number of Favorites displays in Lines view.

You can view recent, placed, received, and missed calls.
1. Select Dirs > Recent Calls.
Viewing Recent Calls
You can view and add contacts to the Contact Directory.

View your Favorites list
1. Navigate to your Contact Directory and select the contact.
2. Press Info, press Edit, and update the contacts information.
3. Press Save.
Delete a Contact
1. Navigate to your Contact Directory and select the contact.
2. Press Info, press Delete, and press Yes to confirm.
Search for a Contact
1. Navigate to your Contact Directory and press Search.
2. Enter search criteria and press Search.
Dial a Contact from your Directory
1. Navigate to your Contact Directory and select the contact.
2. From the contacts information screen, select the contact’s phone number.
1. During a call, press so the other parties can’t hear you.
2. To disable Mute, press .
Muting the Microphone
1. To change the call volume, press during a call.
2. To change the ringer volume, press when the phone is idle or ringing.
Adjusting Volume

1. To set a ringtone for incoming calls, select Settings > Basic > Ring Type and select a ringtone.
2. To set a ringtone for a contact, navigate to your Contact Directory and select a contact.
3. Press Edit, choose a ringtone, and select Save.
