The WT-AV 1 system
With the WT-AV 1 radio transmission system picture and sound signals, as
well as infra-red signals from the remote control, are transmitted over a
distance of up to 300 m outdoors and up to 30 m indoors. This range is
restricted indoors, depending on the construction materials used in the buil-
dings.
With the radio transmission system WT-AV 1, you can transmit picture and
sound signals from devices which are connected to your television in your
living room to an LCD screen or a second television set up, for example, in
another room.
The device which provides the signals can be, for example, a DVD player, a
satellite receiver or a video recorder.
Transmitting television signals
With the remote control of the device putting out the signals (e.g. a DVD
player), this device can be operated via the WT-AV 1.
For the transmission of remote control signals the infra-red signals of the
remote control are transformed into radio signals in the receiver.
The transmitter transforms the radio signals back into infra-red signals and
transmits them via the infra-red module to the appropriate device, which is
also used for the transmission of picture and sound signals.
A minimum distance of approx. 3 m between the transmitter and the recei-
ver is necessary in order to achieve flawless transmission of the television
signals.

_________________________
The radio transmission system WT – AV 1 is designed for sending and recei-
ving picture and sound signals as well as television signals. Any other use is
expressly prohibited.
Do not place any vessels such as vases on the transmitter or the receiver.
Should they be knocked over, fluid may spill on the electrical components,
thus presenting a safety risk.
Make sure no foreign bodies get inside the device, as this may cause a short
circuit.
Ensure that the device is protected from moisture such as rain or water splashes.
Thunderstorms are a danger to all electrical devices. Even if the devices are
switched off, they can be damaged by a lightning strike to the mains.
Always remove the mains plug in the event of an electrical storm.
Microwave units and the use of bluetooth or wireless LAN devices or mobile
phones or cordless telephones (DECT) may impair the quality of the trans-
mission. If this is the case, switch these devices off.
Never open the WT – AV1 casing under any circumstances.Warranty claims
are excluded for damage resulting from improper handling.
When deciding where to place the device, please note that furniture surfaces
are covered by various types of varnish and plastic, most of which contain
chemical additives. These additives can corrode the device supports, leaving
residues on the furniture surfaces which can be difficult or impossible to
remove.

Connecting the WT-AV 1 Transmitter
Note:
Use the cinch/EURO-AV cable labelled ”for Transmitter”.
1 Insert the EURO-AV plug of the cable in the EURO-AV socket of the signal
source (e.g. DVD player).
2 Insert the cinch plug of the cable in the cinch socket of the transmitter.
– Yellow – video signal, red – audio signal right, white – audio signal left.
3 On the channel switch » CH« select a transmission channel by sliding a
switch into the » DIP ON« position.
The other switches must remain in the upper position.
4 Insert the jack plug of the infra-red module into the » IR« socket.
5 Remove the protective film of the adhesive tape from the infra-red receiver
and attach the infra-red receiver to the infra-red sensor of the signal
source (e.g. DVD player).
Note:
For the correct position of the infra-red sensor of the signal source, see the
operating instructions for the signal source you are using.
When attaching the
infra-red receiver, make sure that the infra-red sensor
of the signal source is not completely covered. This might make direct
operation of the device via remote control impossible.
The second
infra-red receiver can be used for another device.
6 Insert the mains adapter plug into the » DC 9V
@« socket.
7 Insert the mains adapter in the socket.
8 Position the antenna upright.
