c. Slide the ALI-NZ60 module mounting bracket sideways onto the rail bracket.
2. Plug the camera head cable into the VIN1 jack on the NZ60 module (RJ12 connector).
3. Insert a microSD card into the SD card slot near the VIN1 jack. Push the card in until it locks into
place. The microSD card can range in size up to 128GB.
NOTE: If a microSD card is not used, the device will not retain log information or recordings in
the NZ60 module. However, log information and recordings may be saved in a network recorder
congured to manage the camera.
4. Connect devices to the termination block as needed. The RS232 terminations are not used.
a. Connect an alarm input sensor (not provided) to the IN1 and GND connectors on the
termination block. Strip about 1/8” insulation from the wires, then carefully push the bare
wire into the connector while holding in the button above the connector. The alarm sensor
can be congured for normally open (N.O.) or normally closed (N.C.) contacts.

5. Plug a microphone and speaker (not provided) into the AUDIO IN and AUDIO OUT connectors on
the back of the controller.
6. Plug a network cable into the RJ45 LAN PoE connector on the front of the controller, and then plug
the other end of the cable into a router.
7. If the device is NOT powered through the network cable (PoE), plug a 12 Vdc power source into the
DC12V connector on the front of the NZ60 module. Use a power source that is adequate for the
device. Check the Specications section of this document for current/power requirements.
8. Check the STATUS LEDs on the face of the controller. Verify that:
POWER LED is solid red (normal when power is applied).
STATUS LED is solid green (the device is working normally). If this LED is ashing, the SD card may
not be recognized.
NETWORK LED is ashing amber (network is connected to the device).
