2. About T-ROBOT
2.1. Characteristics of T-ROBOT
T-ROBOT is an intelligent manned robot operated by means of dynamically stable balance. With such
characteristics as low carbon, environment friendly, fashion, intelligence, sport, leisure and safety, it will be the
preferred travel tool in the future.
The most remarkable characteristic of T-ROBOT is that the function of in-situ steering is achieved. With the help
of T-ROBOT, you can slide to the office every day and wander about the streets freely without worrying about the
problem of being able to turn due to narrow space.
You can sit down or stand up when riding the T-ROBOT, which can meet different needs. The sitting way can
avoid the fatigue caused by long-time manipulation and the standing way can guarantee the wide field of vision and
the great deterrent during security patrol.
The T-ROBOT adopts the fingerprint identification technology which is the most advanced in the industry, greatly
improving its capability of guarding against theft.
The T-ROBOT adopts the most durable lithium-ion battery and runs up to 30km (it will be different depending on
the landforms, riding styles and loads) by each charging; meanwhile its battery requires a low maintenance cost and
provides a long service life.
The T-ROBOT regards safety as the core and adopts the technology of dual redundancy, which means if failure
occurs to a set of controller, the redundant controller will instantly replace the failed controller, ensuring that you enjoy
the funs of riding T-ROBOT safely to the greatest extent.
2.2. Operating Principle
The operating principle of T-ROBOT is mostly based on a fundamental principle called the ‘dynamic stabilization’,
i.e. the own automatic balancing capability of T-ROBOT. After the posture state of vehicle body is obtained with a
built-in precision gyroscope and the proper command is calculated with a high-speed central microprocessor, a motor is
driven to achieve the balancing. It is assumed that the longitudinal axis of general gravity center of the T-ROBOT and
the driver standing on the vehicle is regarded as a reference line. If this axis tilts forward, the built-in electric motor
inside the body of T-ROBOT will generate a forward moment so that the moment leading to forward overturn of person
and car can be balanced on one hand and the speed for moving T-ROBOT forwards can be produced on the other hand.
On the contrary, if the gyroscope detects that the gravity center of driver tilts backward, it will likewise generate a
backward moment to achieve balancing effect. Therefore, as long as the driver changes the angle of his body to tilt
forwards or backwards, T-ROBOT will move forward or backward depending on the tilting direction and its speed will
be proportional to the tilting degree of driver’s body. Such an intelligent balance-maintaining capability of T-ROBOT is
significantly different from the traffic tools which generally require drivers to reach the balance by themselves, such as
scooter.

Note: the maximum running distance after full charging may be influenced by the following factors:
Landform: the smooth and flat surfaces increase the distance, while the upslope and bumpy grounds reduce
the distance;
Wind direction: the downwind increases the distance, while the upwind reduces the distance;
Speed and riding style: the normal speed and intermediate speed increase the distance, while the frequent
startup and shutdown, acceleration and deceleration reduce the distance;
Inflation pressure of tire: the inflation pressure of tire less than the scope given in this manual reduces the
distance; Load (including the rider and the cargo): the light load increases the distance;
Temperature: the storage, charging and riding within the temperature scope recommended in this manual
increase the distance and the distance is reduced under lower temperature;
Battery: the proper storage, charging and maintenance increase the distance, while such improper behaviors
will reduce the distance.
2.4. Operation Limit

For the purpose of enhancing your safety when you are riding T-ROBOT and reducing the risk of damaging
T-ROBOT, the weight limits mainly include:
5
1. Minimum weight limit: the rider must be heavier than 40 Kg mainly because the brake can not be functioning
effectively by moving the gravity center of the rider when his weight is less than 40 Kg (especially on the
downslope);
2. Weight limit for accessory case: the goods loaded in the left and right accessory cases shall not be heavier
than 5 Kg and 3 Kg respectively, and the goods loaded in both accessory cases must be evenly distributed and
fixed to prevent the moving of goods loaded in both accessory cases during the fast running of vehicle;
3. Maximum weight limit: T-ROBOT has passed the strict mechanical analysis and detection and exceeding the
maximum load will damage your T-ROBOT.
Alarm: exceeding these weight limits may influence or reduce your safety coefficient together with other
factors (heavy load, steep slope, bumpy road, high speed and fast mobility) and increase the risk of damaging
T-ROBOT.

give a warning in case of speeding.
2. In order to avoid side rollover, it is not suggested to turn rapidly at a high speed.
3. Always slow down when making a steering. Never speed up on a curved road.
4. The speed will be limited when the battery power is insufficient.
6.7.2. Voice warning
The voice warning is mostly used for the safety prompt during the vehicle running.
Its contents include:
1. Abnormal running, no driving: It is utilized to check the startup for failure. Please dont get on the vehicle if
you hear this prompt and contact the authorized maintenance site.
2. Low battery, please charge battery: Please perform charging in time if you hear this prompt.
3. Battery is dead, please stop immediately: Please stop the vehicle immediately and charge it in time if you hear
this prompt.
4. Speeding, please slow down: Please slow down if you hear this prompt.
5. Vehicle failure, please stop immediately: Please stop the vehicle immediately if you hear this prompt.
Note: Please follow the voice prompt.
6.8. Riding guide
6.8.1. Riding mode
16
Your posture and position will influence your safety:
1. Observe the road condition ahead at any time and be cautious about barrier and land form.
2. Keep gripping the handle during riding. When you are standing to ride, keep the legs relaxed and knees
slightly bent. When sitting to ride, keep both feet respectively on the foot mats in appropriate position and
exert a slight pressure. Don’t lift both feet off the foot mats.
3. Keep sufficient space between the body and the handle. Don’t tilt your body excessively or lean forward /
back off suddenly so as to prevent T-ROBOT from losing balance, causing crash, rollover or injury (more
attention should be paid for high-speed riding).
4. When braking at a high speed, you can lean your body backwards to adjust the gravity center (relative to the
two wheel axle centerlines) while pressing the auxiliary brake button. You should start riding only after you
have got instruction from others familiar with riding of T-ROBOT and receive braking training and exercises
for several times under a safe environment.
5. When making a steering, turning the handle quickly might cause a quick steering and therefore lead to
unbalance of T-ROBOT, resulting in crash, rollover or injury (more attention should be paid for high-speed
riding). Please slowly turn the handle when steering and lean your body reasonably to keep stable.
6.8.2. Avoid risks
For normal running of T-ROBOT, there must be sufficient friction between the tires and ground. Avoid running on
a bumpy, sludgy, slippery, soft or stony road surface, steep gradient or a stairway to prevent tires from slipping. Under
the above conditions, get off and shut down the vehicle and then push or pull T-ROBOT to a safe area for re-start.
6.8.3. Operation guide
Please perform operations as per the following steps in turn:
1. Push or draw T-ROBOT to a safe area suitable for riding it. Wear a helmet and other protective devices.
2. Check the tire pressure of left and right tires. Please maintain the air pressure of left and right tires to 180KPa.
3. Check the triangle for any shake.
4. Check the left and right knob switches. They shall be set in the neutral position , .
5. T-ROBOT has two startup modes including wireless and fingerprint startup modes. The startup can be
achieved in either of these two modes.
Wireless startup: Press down the startup button on wireless key. When a beep sound from T-ROBOT is heard, it
enters into the system setup mode, as shown in Fig. 10. The startup is successful. Please go to Step 6 directly and
follow it. (If no beep sound from T-ROBOT is heard, a strong wireless interference may be present in its
surrounding area or the battery power of wireless key may be insufficient. Please restart it or replace the battery.)
Fingerprint startup: Press the startup button and hold for 3 seconds. When a beep sound is heard, the following
four operations can be performed:
If no fingerprint is enrolled in T-ROBOT, the system will directly enter into the system setup mode, as
shown in Fig. 10. Please go to Step 6 directly and follow it.
If any fingerprint is enrolled in T-ROBOT, the system will perform fingerprint verification. After the
verification is passed, it will enter into the system setup mode, as shown in Fig. 10. Please go to the Step
6 directly and follow it. If the input for fingerprint verification is failed for three times, the system will
automatically shut down.
