4. Installation directions
Installing the cradle
Installing the cradle and the car holder
Mount the G4 onto the cradle according to the
orientation indicated by the arrows.
When removing the G4 from the cradle, push the
latches at the four corners to dislodge the unit.

Refer to the following steps for the installation of the transmitter, car holder and the G4.
Connect the transmitter to the car holder according to
the orientation indicated by the arrows.
The transmitter securely connected to the car holder
after installation.
Pull the sides (illustrated in gray) of the transmitter laterally
according to the orientation indicated by the arrows.
Connect the cradle to the car holder and push the sides
of the transmitter back in place until you hear a "click".

1 2 To remove the car holder, please flip the level down
toward the device.
Pull the suction cup away from the windshield.
Clean and dry your windshield and the
suction cup with a lint-free cloth.

STEP 1.
Connect the 24 pin USB cable
to the USB port located at the
bottom of the unit.
STEP 2.
Connect the other end of the
USB cable to the car charger
to charge the unit.
Connecting the G4 to the car charger
You can use the 24 pin USB cable that comes with the product for charging and file transfer purposes.
You can also transfer files by
connecting it to a PC.
Caution
To prevent damage to the G4’s internal circuits due to voltage
spikes, be sure to plug the car charger into the car adapter only
after the car has been started.

Before initial use, the product should be fully charged for optimal performance.

5. Directions for activating the G4
Charging with the ac adapter
STEP 1.
Connect the 24 pin USB cable
to the USB port at the bottom
of the unit.
STEP 2.
Connect the other end of the USB cable
to the ac adapter. It will take a few hours
for the battery to be fully charged. Do not
unplug the ac adapter during the process
of charging.
Before initial use, charge the battery for at least 8 consecutive hours.
For subsequent charges, wait for the power indicator to turn green
before unplugging it from the power outlet.
Do not use the product in environments of extreme heat or charge it
only when the battery has completely drained to prevent accidents.
Be sure to turn off the unit completely by using the main power switch
or fully charge the unit once per week to prevent excessive discharge
after an extended period of non-use.

6. Using the G4 for the first time

Insert the MicroSD card into the G4 according to the
orientation indicated by the arrow until you hear a
“click”. Next, slide the main power switch of the G4
located at the bottom of the unit to “ON” (the switch
has been set at the “OFF” position when the product
left the manufacturing plant).
Push the sleep
switch to activate the G4.
Push the sleep switch/button lock to the left (and hold for
approximately 0.8 seconds) to put the G4 in sleep mode.
Push it again (and hold for approximately 0.8 seconds) to
activate the G4. Pushing the switch to the right will lock the
buttons and touch screen (the unit will not respond to any
input made via buttons or the touch screen).

Caution
Putting the G4 in sleep mode will not shut down the
system completely and it will still consume a little power.
If the unit will not be used for an extended period of time,
it is recommended that the power switch be turned to “OFF”.

To make use of other functions apart from navigation, tap on the icon at the top right corner to
bring up the main menu.
