Suboor Prep
You must begin with a dry and structurally sound suboor. If water damage, rotting, or any other
structural defects are present, you MUST repair prior to installing Durabase CI++. A clean and level
suboor is required for a successful installation. After cleaning the suboor, use a level to check the
suboor.
Note: a self-leveling mortar can be used to level the suboor.

Step 2
Lay the Durabase CI++ white eece side down onto the fresh adhesive
and press down evenly with the at side of the trowel, a grout oat or a
carpet roller. Periodically check for full coverage. Only for
waterproong purposes use the DURABASE WP seam tape to cover the
junctions between the perimeter of the room and the mat.
Note: Thin-set mortar appropriate for the tile should be used on top of
the Durabase CI++. Please follow all installation instructions of the
TCNA handbook.
Step 1
