2 GENERAL DETAILS

SECURITY MEASURES

The device can only be used for its specific function and should only be used by qualified

staff.

Before maintenance or setting the device it is necessary to turn the machine off and to cut

the electrical supply.

After using the device turn off the main-switch.

Do not put any tools or other objects on the device.

Security devices or security switches should not be jumped over.

MAINTENANCE

Clean daily the machine after using, further indications see page 11.

APPLICATION

The BM2530W desktop model heavy duty is specially designed for banding of banknotes

to bundles or to stacks in the money handling field as well as of all kind of sensitive

products in the packaging field.

The BM2530W is suitable for the use of paper “kraft” (thermoband) PE-coated or PP-film

band (polypropylene) without any change.

HOW THE MACHINE WORKS

 The Automatic Bander ties automatically a loop around the product with paper *kraft*

(thermoband) or pp-band (polypropylene).

 The product which has to be banded, has to be put in/under the loop of band.

 Activating the START-switch, the band is pulled around the product, tightened, sealed

and cut.

 Removing the banded product a new loop is made, the machine is ready for a new

cycle.

3 SETTING UP THE DEVICE

Beware of electrical data and type of machine!

POWER-ON STEPS

1. Connect to electrical supply.

2. Turn ON the main-switch.

3. Push the ON / OFF-switch.

- it will flash until the right sealing temperature is reached.

- if the switch stops flashing, the machine is ready for banding.

INSERTING THE BAND

1. Open the front door and the band

dispenser

2. Put the roll in the dispenser

3. Pull knob

4 OPERATION

1. Connect to electrical supply.

2. Turn on the main-switch.

3. Push the

ON / OFF

-switch.

3.1. The switch flashes until the machine has reached its sealing temperature

3.2. If the switch stops flashing, the machine is ready for production

4. Insert a paper roll or a pp roll (page 7)

5. Put the product to band on the working area under the loop and block the product by

using the adjusted guides *D*

MANUAL OPERATION

6.1. The band is pulled around the product, sealed and cut

6.2. After taking away the banded product the machine automatically builds a new

Loop.

6.3. The machine is ready for build the next loop and so on.

AUTOMATIC OPERATION

7.1. Push

AUTO ON / OFF

7.2. Place the product on the working area.

7.3. The banding process starts automatically.

7.4. Take away the banded product.

5 ADJUSTMENTS

Open the front cover.

ADJUSTMENT OF THE ROTARY CLAMP FINGER

This adjustment is requested for different paper band or pp band thickness.

If changing the paper band or the pp band quality it is necessary to adjust the rotary

clamp finger to the used material.



Turn the adjustment screw in order to keep the band in the rotary clamp finger.



The band must still be movable inside the clamp.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT TIGHTEN THE SCREW TOO MUCH!

ADJUSTMENT OF THE BAND TENSION

Is continuously adjustable



for more tension = turn clockwise



for less tension = turn anti-clockwise

for big loop = turn knob to the left



for small loop = turn knob to the right

ADJUSTMENT OF THE SEALING TEMPERATURE



The actual sealing temperature is

shown.



By pushing the BUTTON *A* the

Adjusted sealing temperature is

shown.



By keeping the BUTTON *A*

pushed, the temperature can be

changed by turning the screw

on the potentiometer.



The ideal sealing temperature is

About 200° C to 225° C.

6 MAINTENANCE

ORDINARY MAINTANCE

MAINTAIN ITEMS REASON SUGGESTED SOLUTION

ORDINARY USE

Check the entire device.

After working hours.

clean the device from

remaining dust.

IMPORTANT!

Clean and check the entire machine every day during the first week you use it.

LUBRICATION

Lubricate all the guides with a

not greasy and with dust

rejection lubricant (for

example: Teflon Spray).

Weekly.

ATTENTION!

Use only light and non greasing brand−marked lubricant.

CLEANING

Remove remaining paper dust

from the guides and from all the

moving machine parts

Weekly.

Remove remaining paper dust

from the sealing device (for

example: with compressed air)

Weekly.

BEFORE CALLING FOR SERVICE

PROBLEM REASON SUGGESTED SOLUTION

1. The band cannot be

put in through the

rollers.

The machine has been

turned OFF during the

working cycle, the 3

not return in "zero"
