Free arm Protection plate
Use the free arm to sew on sleeves,
cuffs and trousers legs.
The protection plate will protect the user from accidental injury
from the needle. Use of the protection plate is optional.
1. Install the twin needle according to the instructions stated
in "Needle replacement".
2. Pull the spool pin to the highest position. Place both
bobbins on to the spool pin and replace the rubber loop
(Pic 1).
3. Thread both threads through 1, 2, 3, and 4 as per normal
threading instructions. At 5, thread the lower bobbin thread
through the left ring and the top bobbin thread through the
right ring (Pic 2).
4. At 6, thread the lower bobbin thread to the left (Pic 3). The
upper bobbin thread is threaded through the spring to the
right (Pic 4).
5. Thread both needles, ensuring the left thread is through the
left needle and the right thread is through the right needle.
6. Insert the protection plate. (It is advisable to use the
protection plate for the twin needle sewing as it guides
the threads).
7. Choose straight stitch pattern on the pattern selector dial.
Note: Zigzag stitch can not be used with the twin needle
sewing.
8. The method of sewing is the same as the operation of single
needle sewing machine.
9. While using the twin needle function, it is better not to
choose the “fast” sewing, since using “slow” speed will sew
the stitches more smoothly.
10. When using twin needle, the presser foot lever should only
be raised when the needle is in its highest position.
11. Do not to start the machine when the presser foot lever is
being raised.

A correct stitch will be as the illustration shows. The upper
and lower thread tension are equal and strong enough to
lock both threads in the centre of your fabric.
Always test tension on a scrap of the fabric you intend to
use before commencing sewing.
1. If the upper thread is too tight, the lower thread will be
pulled up tightly to the top of the fabric, and you will it
stitch on the surface of the fabric. Balance the tension by
turning the thread tension dial anti-clockwise to the
correct tension.
2. If the upper thread is too loose, the upper thread will be
pulled tightly to the bottom of the fabric and you will see
the lower stitch thread on the bottom of the fabric.
Balance the tension by turning the thread tension dial
clockwise to the correct tension.

Troubleshooting
Handy Tips
1. Always start to sew with the needle
lowered into the fabric and the
presser foot lever down.
2. To change direction: stop sewing,
ensure needle is lowered into your
fabric, raise the presser foot lever, turn
fabric, lower presser foot and start
sewing again.
3.Only use bobbins similar to those
supplied with the machine – bobbins
vary greatly so always take one with
you to the shop when purchasing
new ones.
4.Needles blunt very easily so remember
to change regularly.
straight from the scrap to your own
fabric. This prevents puckering at the
edge of your seam. Just cut off the
scrap when you have finished sewing.
10. If any problems occur, always try
rethreading the machine first. Also try
rethreading the bobbins as
sometimes thread winds on unevenly.
11. Clean out any dust or fluff from the
bobbin case regularly using a small
brush such as a paint brush.
5. Always test your machine on scrap
fabric before commencing sewing
especially if the machine has not been
in use for awhile.
6. Store in a clean dry place, out of direct
sunlight preferably in its box or similar
to avoid dust. Keep away from direct
heat.
7. Always unplug after use.
8. Do not allow to get wet.
9.When beginning to sew at the edge of
fabric it is recommended that a small
scrap of fabric is used to start sewing
on as shown in the diagram. Sew

Your fabric
1. Do not use the batteries and the adaptor at the same time.
2. Ensure the batteries are in the correct polarity position.
3. Requires 4x AA alkaline batteries (not supplied).
4. Not suitable for flexible or elastic fabric, such as terry cloth.
Always test, sew a small sample of your fabric to ensure
suitability before sewing your main project.
5. Do not use power switch and foot pedal at the same time.
6. If needle is bent / deformed, always replace with a new one.
7. Make sure the needle is correctly threaded, to prevent damage
and the thread is inserted from the front.
8. When thread is tangled in the lower bobbin, stop the machine,
cut the tangled threads to clear bobbin case. Re-thread the
bobbin and draw up the bobbin thread.
9. If the machine stops by itself when sewing immediately switch
"off “ or stop pressing the foot pedal. Turn the handwheel
around by hand. Check the lower thread, lift the presser foot,
slide away the bobbin cover, and see whether it's tangled. If it
has. Cut the tangled thread and rethread the machine according
to the instructions in this manual.
10. Don't start the machine when the presser foot is being raised.
11. Not for commercial use.
12. Keep away from children, this not a toy.
13. Keep fingers away from the needle at all times when the
machine is in use.
