Specific Information
Use the bigger gauge wire for installation of power and ground than is called for
Keep the speaker impedance higher than 1 Ohm, 2 Ohm, 4 Ohm or 8 Ohm
,depending on the product
Make certain that the current flow is sufficient for the product on power and
ground sides
Make certain the voltage supplied does not decrease under peak load
Make certain alternators, batteries and electrical storage devices are sufficient to
supply the peak current
Know before installation what the peak current requirement is using OHM’S law:
In this case for the BAMF1-5000D it says 2500 Watts RMS at 1 OHM so use
Watts = Voltage X Amperage. In this application: to get 2500 watts RMS divide
the 2500 watts by 12 volts and you get 208 amps of current flow required.
Have a quality volt/ohm meter on hand
