OPERATING AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
2
INTRODUCTION
These instructions provide the necessary information concerning the installation, operation and proper
maintenance of the arm. The user should read the manual each time before installing and starting to operate
the device. The arm has been designed for professional use, and thus it should be used in this way. Use the
device for extracting dry dust only.
Attention: The unit is not intended for the extraction of the following materials: inflammable substances,
explosive and inflammable solvents, welding smoke, burning materials, petrol, lubricating oil, alcohol, paints
and solvents with an ignition temperature of over 60°C. Failure to follow this instruction constitutes a fire and
explosion hazard. The accumulation of dust while cleaning surfaces coated with paint with an uncompleted
hardening cycle may result in spontaneous ignition. At a minimum of once a year the manufacturer or
authorised service personnel should perform a technical inspection of the unit.
NTS Sp. z o.o. [Ltd.] will not be held responsible for any damage, direct or indirect, due to failure to follow the
guidelines provided in these instructions.
SAFETY STANDARDS
Attention: Apply the following measures during the operation of the arm in order to avoid fire, electric
shock, injuries. Read the manual thoroughly before starting to use the arm, and maintain the device
carefully.
GENERAL SAFETY RULES
- Apply special hearing protection in case the emitted noise level exceeds 85 dB (A).
- Pay special attention to operating conditions. Never expose the arm to rainwater, do not install it
in a humid or wet place, in an atmosphere containing gas vapours, or in a place, where inflammable
liquids are stored.
- Protect yourself against electric shock. Avoid contact with earthed objects or surfaces (e.g. metal
parts, pipes, radiators, furnaces, etc.).
- Never leave the device in place accessible for children or unauthorised persons. In particular,
make sure that no unauthorised person has access to the unit.
- Do not overload the arm with excessive loads and accessories, never install more than two tools.
When the unit is used in an appropriate way, maximum efficiency and safety is guaranteed.
- Always wear suitable clothes. Avoid clothes, which are too loose, do not wear laces, chains, etc.,
which could become entangled in the machine elements during work. It is recommended to use
gloves and boots with antislip soles. In the case of long hair, tie it with an elastic band.
- Use safety goggles. We recommend using a dust-mask in very dusty places.
- Maintain the arm well. To ensure its safe use, the tool should always be clean and properly started.
Always strictly follow the maintenance instructions, have authorised service personnel carry out any
possible repairs, as this guarantees the use of original spare parts only. Failure to follow these rules
may result in serious injuries and damage to objects.
- Always cut off the power supply before any maintenance or repair operation.
- Always apply special precautions. Operate carefully and reasonably, do not fool around during
work.
- Check damaged parts. Carefully inspect if the machine safeguards or parts are not damaged and if
they function properly. Check the synchronization of the parts in motion, their possible seizing up,
cracks, mounting quality, and any other situation, which may result in the faulty operation of the
machine.
- Observe these instructions.
3
ATTENTION
- Maintain the arm well.
- Always keep it in ideal condition and clean.
- Strictly follow the instructions on the safe use of the arm.
- Any possible repairs should be carried out in service centres, using original spare parts only.
Failure to follow these rules may result in serious damage.

1. ARM INSTALLATION
Before starting the arm installation procedure, check that there is no obstacle in the field of its
operation (Fig. 1).
Attention: Walls and columns, on which the arm will be installed, should be necessarily made of
reinforced concrete. For any other wall type consult the NTS Technical Service.

2. From the point selected for the arm installation, draw a perpendicular line using a plumb line. Start
from a height of 4.6 m. This line corresponds to the CENTRE of the arm wall anchoring yoke.
ALL SUBSEQUENT DIMENSIONS WILL RELATE TO THIS LINE.
3. INSTALLATION OF ARM ANCHORING YOKE
At a height of 2.5 m from the ground, move 50 mm to the right from the CENTRE and mark the first hole
there (Fig. 2). Start drilling the hole (diameter 16 mm, depth 90 mm). This hole matches the upper right hole
in the yoke (Fig. 3). Place the pin and slightly screw it in. Mark the other holes using a spirit level to get them
parrallel (Fig. 4). Move the yoke and start drilling, place pins, and fasten all elements after checking they are
parallel with a spirit level. Before installing the arm check that the pins firmly hold the arm base (Fig. 5 – Fig.
6).
4. FASTENING OF THE ARM TO THE YOKE
Lift the arm to the height of the yoke and insert the hinged pins. Follow the proper order of operations (Fig.
7).
ATTENTION:
Only authorised and specialised personnel may perform the arm installation operations.
