CTstopreservepolarity.ThearrowontheCTsidelabelshouldpointinthedirectionofthepanel

typically240volts,butlarge120voltloadsmayalsobemonitored.
g. AllappliancesmonitoredonCT5thruCT8willbemonitoredutilizing“L1”phaseonly,theload
phase“L2”willnothaveaCT.
h. ItisessentialthatCTleadscanbe“tracked”fromtheemppaneltothecircuitpanelfortrouble
shooting.Therefore,allCTleadsshouldbelabeled(Figure1F)withtheappropriateCTnumber
everytwofeetandcareshouldbetakentolandeachCTleadatthecorrectterminalblock.
i. The CT has two wires, one black and one white (Figure 3J). The black wire will always be
terminatedontheleft‐handsideoftheterminalblockandthewhitewirewillbeterminatedon
theright‐handsideoftheterminalblock.
j. ChecktomakesurethatthelockingsnapontheCTistightlyclosedaftertheCTissetonthewire
beingmonitored.Pliersmayhavetobeusedtocompressthe
