Ifyouwishtoincreaseortodecreasethecontrastofthecharactersdisplayedonblackand
white display, press simultaneously
and navigator UP key in order to
increasethecontrast,or

Use a regular movement in order to ensure a reliable
cardreading.

Connectingtheterminalonthebase
PlacetheiWL2XXbetweentheflangesonitsbasesothatthecontactsoftheiWL2XX
engageonthecontactsprovidedonthebase(seepicturebelow).
Usingthemodembase(ifmodemfittedonyourbase)
Onceinstalled,thebasemodemisdesignedtoalwaysbepluggedintothemainsnetwork
andbeconnectedtoatelephoneline.Thetelephonelineshouldnotbeshared.
Theportablemaybeplacedbackonitsbaseaftereachtransaction.Itmustbeplacedonits
modem base when telephone network is used for : authorization request, remote
collection,downloading.

Placethebaseonflatsurfacenearanelectricsocketand,ifmodemoption,atelephone
socket.Theterminalshouldbeplacedfarfromanyveryhotzones,protectedfrom
vibrations,dust,dampandelectromagneticradiation(computerscreen,antitheftbarrier
etc.).
Theterminalmustnotbefixedtoacounterinsuchawaythatausercannotpickupthe
terminalandusehis/herbodytoconcealthePINwhenitisrequested.

shownonthefigure.

ADVICE
If you insert a new R40 paper roll, tear off the first length (one complete turn to avoid
printing on adhesive tape footprint). This is not necessary on R25 paper roll as it has no
tape.
