1. NEW GENERATION DVI & RGB INPUTS :
FIRMWARE COMPATIBILITY
1.1 Description
New generation DVI and RGB inputs
A new component (A/D converter) is used in the DVI input bo ards and in the RGB input
boards. The module part numbers and the spare numbers (...K) have not been changed
but the board numbers
have a higher index (this index will allow you to differentiate old
from new bo ards) :

In most of the cases, the projectors have to be updated with a new firmware version in
order to allow optimal operation of these new boards.
1.2 Firmware Compatibility
A must up gra de is needed in case of low com patib ility i.e. if normal op er-
ation is not guaranteed. An advised upgrade is needed in case of relative
high co mpatibility i.e. general opera tion is guaranteed but no t for ex otic
or low quality signals.
