touch board installation guide
Introduction
This document is a draft version of the eventual final MimioSpace Collaborative System Installation Guide.
Every effort has been made to be sure it is accurate and complete.
Overview
The MimioSpace collaborative system uses infrared touch tracking technology to support up to 32
simultaneous touches. The IR beams are invisible and positioned approximately 3mm above the surface of
the board. It is essential that the installed board be flat ±3mm corner-to-corner and side-to-side to ensure
proper operation of the touch tracking.
Positioning
The diagram below shows the positioning of the mounting elements. A more detailed and larger version is at
the end of this document.
The distance from the floor is usually set to accommodate the average height of the students. However, it is
essential to be certain that the bottom of the projector be no lower than required by federal or local OSHA (or
equivalent specifications).
