Adjustment mode
Adjustment of the RD-7970 rear derailleur
Keep pressing the rear derailleur adjustment button
until the adjustment mode display changes.
* Be careful not to keep pressing the button for any
longer than this, otherwise the mode will change to
reset mode.
The setting values can be checked using the SC-
7900 main unit display.
If you press the rear derailleur adjustment button
quickly once more, the mode will change back to
normal gear shifting mode and the setting value will
be confirmed.

* Display range -12 - +12
Reset mode
Protection function of the RD-7970 rear
derailleur
Pressing and holding the rear derailleur adjustment
button (for 5 seconds or more) restarts the unit after
the protection function has operated.
The status can be checked using the SC-7900 main
unit display.
After the operation is complete, the display will return
to normal.
