FLYING YOUR AIR HOGS® SKY COMMANDER™
ALWAYS FLY YOUR HELICOPTER A WIDE OPEN GRASSY
AREA;THIS WILL ENSURE A LONGER LIFE FOR YOUR HELICOPTER.
ALWAYS USE CAUTION WHEN FLYING YOUR HELICOPTER! ALWAYS POINT YOUR HELICOPTER AWAY FROM YOUR FACE AND OTHER
PEOPLE WHEN LAUNCHING!
DO NOT FLY THE HELICOPTER IN VERY WINDY CONDITIONS. DO NOT FLY THE HELICOPTER IN TEMPERATURES BELOW 45˚F / 7˚C;
THE WINGS WILL BECOME BRITTLE AND MAY BREAK, AND ENGINE PERFORMANCE WILL DECREASE.
PUMPING

A) Push Sky Commander’s AIR INTAKE
onto the PUMP NOZZLE. Ensure that
you push the nozzle ALL THE WAY
inside the AIR INTAKE.
B) Place both feet on pump base and
grasp pump handle.
C) PUMP 50 TIMES to reach MAXIMUM
AIR PRESSURE.
D) Remove the helicopter from the pump.
PUMPING TIP:
Pump slowly and always pull the pump
handle ALL THE WAY up and push it ALL
THE WAY down with each pump stroke.
Short pump strokes will not force enough
air into the helicopters tank, and it may
not fly well.

HOW TO ASSEMBLE YOUR AIR HOGS® SKY COMMANDER
Snap ROTOR PORT onto ROTOR MOUNT. PUSH
DOWN HARD.
IMPORTANT:THE ROTOR IS A ONE-TIME ASSEMBLY.
ONCE THE ROTOR IS ATTACHED TO THE HELICOPTER,
YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO REMOVE
IT WITHOUT CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE TOY.
Slide the TAIL WING into the TAIL WING HOLDER
and COVER WITH MYLAR TAPE ON BOTH SIDES
(included) as shown. Be careful not to create
creases, as creases may adversely affect flight
performance.

SELECT A GOOD FLYING LOCATION:
Always fly in a wide-open area, with lots of grass for soft landings.
Do not fly near overhead wires, buildings, trees, or other
obstructions.
CHECK THE WEATHER BEFORE FLYING:
It is best to fly on a warm and sunny day with low-mild wind.
Do not fly in poor weather conditions such as electrical
storms, rain, snow, sleet, or fog.These conditions are unsafe
for flying and may cause damage to the toy and/or personal
injury.
Do not fly on very cold days.Temperatures below 7°C/45°F
may result in poor flight
performance and/or damage
the toy. The engine and the
foam parts of the product
are affected by extremely
cold temperatures and may
become damaged.
FLYING YOUR AIR HOGS® SKY COMMANDER Continued
A) Place helicopter in your launching hand,
as shown.
B) Extend your launching hand far away from
your face and body.
C) Use your other hand to spin the ROTOR in
the direction of the ARROW(S).
This activates the engine.
D) Give Sky Commander a GENTLE TOSS
STRAIGHT UPWARD and release into the air.
DO NOT LAUNCH ON AN ANGLE!
E) After your last flight, spin the rotor to ensure
all of the remaining air in the AIR TANK has
been used up.
Do NOT leave air in the tank after flying.
HOW TO STOP THE ROTOR FROM SPINNING:
To stop the rotor from spinning, gently touch
the helicopters rotor to the ground.

REPAIR CENTER
If the tail on your AIR HOGS® SKY COMMANDER becomes
damaged, repair it by using clear tape.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
Engine will not start.
Engine starts, but helicopter will
not fly.
Helicopter takes off, but spins
rapidly and crashes.
Helicopter takes off, but banks
sharply and crashes.
Helicopter will not attach to pump.
Important Safety Information
Keep propeller clear from face, eyes and fingers. Do not launch
at people or animals.
Pay Attention: Make sure people around you know you are
playing with AIR HOGS
®
. Point helicopter away from face when
launching. Use only the pump included in this package. Other
pumps may damage the helicopter or lead to injury. Never
pump anything except air into the engine. Do not leave air in
the helicopter.
After your last flight, spin the propeller to make sure all the air
has been used up. Only use your AIR HOGS
®
helicopter in
grassy, open areas. To stop the propeller, gently touch the nose
cone to the grass.
Do not fly in very windy conditions. Do not fly
helicopter in
temperatures below 45˚F/7˚C or the wings will become brittle
and may break, and engine performance will decrease.
Do not fly near overhead wires.
Do not leave your Sky Commander
TM
in direct sunlight and/or
extreme heat for excessive amounts of time.

CAUSE
1. Pump up helicopter 50 times on an empty
tank to reach MAXIMUM air pressure
2. Remove dirt with a toothpick and re-pump.
3. After pumping is complete, spin the rotor
in the direction shown by the arrows to
start the engine.
