Air Hogs Havoc Heli is an 8-10 years old appropriate toy product that can be enjoyed both indoors and outdoors. It is controlled with an infra-red controller that needs 6 AA batteries to function. The helicopter itself has a rechargeable battery. A charging cable is included in the product box. You can fly the helicopter up and down, turn it left or right, accelerate and decelerate, and even make it do continuous forward flight. If the helicopter starts turning in one direction only, you can fix it by using the trimmer adjuster on the controller.

HOW TO FLY YOUR HAVOC HELI
®
1. SET THE BAND ON YOUR CONTROLLER:
2. TRIMMING YOUR HELICOPTER:
To do this, you must check which frequency letter your helicopter is set at.
Turn over the helicopter and you will find a letter (A,B,C) on the bottom.
Set the band selector on your controller to the same letter by moving the horizontal switch.
1. The helicopter will have 4-6 minutes of flight time after charging over 30 minutes.
2. Before you recharge the battery, wait 10-15 minutes to let the battery cool down.
Things to remember:
Gently push the throttle up to raise your helicopter .5 m (1.5 ft) to 1 m (3.25 ft) high off the ground.
If your helicopter turns CLOCKWISE, continue to push the LEFT side of the trim REPEATEDLY until the turning stops
and the helicopter flies straight.
If your helicopter turns COUNTERCLOCKWISE, continue to push the RIGHT side of the trim REPEATEDLY until the turning stops
and the helicopter flies straight.

1. Open the battery door with a screwdriver (pic.1). 2. If used batteries are present, remove these batteries from the unit by pulling up on one end of each
battery. 3. Install new batteries as shown in the polarity diagram (+/-) inside the battery compartment (pic.2). 4. Replace battery door securely (pic.3).
5. Check your local laws and regulations for correct recycling and/or battery disposal.
Slide back the cover and gently
remove the charging wire – it is
attached to the controller.
Turn off the power to the
helicopter located on the
bottom of the helicopter.
Insert the charge plug into
the charge port on the side of
the helicopter.
Turn the controller to the CHG/ON position. Green
charging light and Red Power
light both ON when charging.
The Green charge light goes
OFF when helicopter is
fully charged. Once charged,
pull the charge plug out of the
helicopter and store in controller.

4. FLIGHT CONTROL (After Trimming)
NOTE: Hovering is half the
battle. If you can maintain your
helicopter in a stable position
in the air you are on your way
to becoming a PRO.
- Put the helicopter on a smooth surface. Uneven floor surface will affect its lifting off.
- Slowly increase the throttle.
- DO NOT look at the controller/charger but focus on the helicopter.
- As soon as the helicopter leaves the ground, reduce the throttle slightly. (in the worst case, the helicopter will
drop back to the floor, but that is better than crashing against the ceiling)
- VERY gently add throttle if the helicopter goes down.
- VERY gently reduce throttle if helicopter goes up.
- For turning, give short and small inputs to the direction lever. (Most beginners will easily over control the helicopter)
Hover up and down:
When the helicopter flies steadily, you can slowly push the throttle lever up
to make the helicopter fly higher, or release the lever a bit to make the
helicopter fly lower. Only small amounts of lever position change are
required for smooth flying (pic.4 & pic.5).
Turn counterclockwise and clockwise:
Hold the helicopter at a height. Push the direction lever toward the left to
turn counterclockwise (pic.6), or push the direction lever toward the right
to turn clockwise (pic.7).

Normal forward flight:
Hold the helicopter at a height. With the throttle lever up, push the
forward movement button once to make the helicopter fly forward at
normal speed (pic.8).
Fast forward flight:
Hold the helicopter at a height. With the throttle lever up, push the
forward turbo movement button once to make the helicopter fly forward
at fast speed (pic.9).

pic.8pic.8 pic.9pic.9
Continuous forward flight:
Hold the helicopter at a height. With the throttle lever up, push both the
forward movement button and forward turbo movement button at the same
time to make the helicopter fly forward continuously (pic.10).
Accelerates & Decelerates:
If you turn the helicopter slowly counterclockwise, the helicopter will
decelerate. And when you turn it clockwise, it will accelerate.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Main rotor won’t move.
Tail rotor is broken or not moving.
Suddenly stops and drops while flying.
PROBLEM
ON/OFF switch on helicopter is set to OFF.
Weak battery.
Something may be caught in the rotor.
Rotor may have chipped during flight.
Try steering left/right to activate tail rotor.
Weak power.
Helicopter may be out of range from controller.
CAUSE
Set switch to ON.
Re-charge the helicopter using the charging port OR
check batteries in the controller.
Remove blockage.
Replace tail rotor with the spare set in the package.
Re-charge helicopter or check battery power in controller.
Move closer to the helicopter with the controller.
SOLUTION
3. FLYING INDOORS
Location – Fly in a wide-open room [ideally over 3 m (10 ft.) (W) x 5 m (16.5 ft.) (L) x 2.5 m (8 ft.) (H)], away from breakable items. Avoid flying near vents and/or
fans, as these may overpower the Havoc Heli
®
and make it difficult to control. NOTE: Always get permission to fly your Havoc Heli
®
indoors.
a
CAUTION: Never fly near your face. Keep rotor away from your fingers, hair, eyes and other body parts. Always lift off from a flat surface. Never hold the flying
heli in your hand when lifting off. DO NOT launch heli near people or animals. Stay away from obstacles and electrical hazards.
a
WARNING: IF ROTOR(S) BECOME DAMAGED OR BROKEN, DO NOT FLY. FLYING WITH BROKEN ROTOR(S) MAY CAUSE DAMAGE
OR LEAD TO INJURY.
HOW TO FIX YOUR ROTOR/FLYBAR ASSEMBLY
If the linkage between your rotor and flybar comes undone and is dangling below the bottom
rotor, it is very EASY to fix! (A)
Carefully re-attach the linkage back onto the top connector and gently push it into place. (B)
While you’re there, you might want to check around the area for any fibers or debris that might
affect your flight performance. Carefully remove it with tweezers and you are ready to start
flying again!
