TheClientLoginExtension(CLE)facilitatespasswordselfservicebyaddingalinktotheNovell
MicrosoftCredentialProvider(MSCP),andMicrosoftGINAloginclients.WhenusersclicktheForgot
Passwordlinkintheirloginclient,theClientLoginExtensionlaunchesarestrictedbrowsertoaccess
thePasswordSelfServicefeature
ontheloginclients.Thisfeatureassistsinreducinghelpdeskcalls
frompeoplewhoforgettheirpasswords.
GINA Support
InWindows2003andWindowsXP,thepasswordrecoverysupportisavailableforgraphical
authenticationinterfacessuchasGINAfortheNovellClientandLDAPclientslikeNovell
SecureLogin.
IntheabsenceoftheNovellClientandLDAPclients,thepasswordrecoverysupportisprovidedby
thedefaultMicrosoftGINA,implemented
byClientLoginExtension.
Credential Provider Support
InWindowsVistaandWindows7,thepasswordrecoverysupportisavailableforgraphical
authenticationinterfacessuchasCredentialProviderforLDAPclientsandtheNovellClient.Inthe
