20. Never cover the air inlet grille or the air outlet opening
with your hand or other objects.
21. If you have curlers, hairpins or similar items in your hear,
ensure that they do not project more than 10 mm, to
avoid contact with energised parts of the hair dryer.
22. For safety reasons, do not use the appliance to dry arti-
ficial hair.
23. To avoid burns, never aim the hot air flow directly at your
face.
24. Do not use any hair sprays while the appliance is in opera-
tion.
25. Switch off the appliance before you set it down.
26. The appliance is equipped with an overheating protection
circuit. If operated for too long, the appliance switches
off automatically to prevent damage to the appliance.
After an appropriate cool-down time, you can place the
appliance in service again.
27. After use or prior to cleaning the appliance, always switch
off and unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet
and allow it to cool.
28. As long as the plug is in the electrical outlet, even if the
appliance is switched off, the appliance poses a hazard in
the vicinity of water.
29. Do not insert any objects into the appliance, due to the
ensuing damage, there is danger of electric shock.
30. Only use the appliance for the purposes described in
these instructions.
31. To avoid damage, do not use the appliance with acces-
sories of other manufacturers or brands.
32. Never open the housing of the appliance. This can result
in electric shock.
33. Check the plug and the power cord regularly for wear or
damage.
34. In case of damage to the power cord or other parts, please
send the appliance for inspection and/or repair to our
customer service organisation. Unauthorised repairs can
result in serious risks to the user and will void the war-
ranty.
35. If the power cord of this appliance is damaged, it must
be replaced by the manufacturer or by the manufacturer’s
