Before the firSt uSe

• Taketheapplianceandaccessoriesoutthebox.

Removethestickers,protectivefoilorplasticfromthedevice.

• Cleanbeforeusetheappliancewithadampcloth.

• Duringrstusetherecouldbesomesmokeandaburningsmell.

Thishappensbecausetheapplianceisnew.Itwilldisappearafter

afewminutes.Thisdoesnotmeanthereisamalfunctionanditwill

notcauseone.

• Connectthepowersupply,andturntheswitchtothe“ON”position,

theindicatorlightwillbrighten,after1minutepreheating,youcanuseit.

• Foracompletestyling,thehairshouldbeclean,dryandfreefromdirt,

hairspray,creams,etc.(Ofcourse,thishairstraightenercanalwaysbe

usedforquicktouch-upsandrescuesanytime).Hairshouldbedivided

intoseveralpartsandoperatepartbypartandbyevenpullingthehair

downwards.Combthroughthissectiontosmoothoutanysnarls.

Holdendstautwithonehand.Partoasectionofhairtobestraightened,

startingatthebackneckareatowardsthecrown,movingalongthesides

andnishingatthefronttoparea.

• Opentheclampandgriphairwithinoneinchofscalp.Holdinplace

forabout5to10secondsfornehairor10to12secondsforthickor

coarsehair.

• Carefully,releasepressureonthehandlesandletthehairslipoutfrom

theplates.

• Repeatthetreatmentuntilyouhaveasatisedresult.

• Afteruse,turnswitchtothe“OFF”positionandunplugtheappliance.

• Allowthestraightenertocooldown.

Cleaning

Unplugtheapplianceandallowittocooldown.Useasoft,slightlydamp

clothtowipeappliancesurfaces.Donotallowwateroranyotherliquidto

getintotheunit.

Storage

• Unplugtheappliance,allowtocool,andstoreinitsboxorinadry

place.Neverstoreitwhileitishotorstillpluggedin.

• Neverwrapthecordtightlyaroundtheappliance.

• Neverhangunitbythecord.Storethecordlooselycoiled.Donotput

anystressonthecordwhereitenterstheunit,asitcouldcausethecord

tofrayandbreak.

• Tristarisnotliablefordamagesoccurredthrough:

 1.Incasetheappliancehasfallen.

 2.Incasetheappliancehasbeentechnicallychangedbytheowneror

anotherthirdparty.

 3.Incaseofimproperuseoftheappliance.

 4.Incaseofnormalwearoftheappliance.

• Byexecutingrepairstheoriginalwarrantyperiodof2yearswillnot

beextended,northerighttoacompliednewwarranty.

ThiswarrantyisonlylegalonEuropeansoil.Thiswarrantydoesnot

overruletheEuropeandirective1944/44CE

• Alwayskeepyourreceipt,withoutthisreceiptyoucannotclaimany

formofwarrantywhatsoever.

• Damagecausedbynotfollowingtheinstructionmanual,willleadto

avoidofwarranty,ifthisresultsinconsequentialdamagesTristarwill

notbeliable.

• Tristarwillnotbeliableformaterialdamageorpersonalinjurycaused

byimproperuseorifthesafetyinstructionarenotproperlyexecuted.

• Otherthencleaning,asmentionedinthismanual,istheonly

maintenancethatisnecessaryforthisappliances.

• Whentheapplicationshouldberepaired,makesurethatthiswillbe

preformedbyanauthorizedcompany.

• Thisappliancemaynotbeamendedorchanged.

• Ifproblemsariseduringthe2yearsfromthedateofpurchase,

whicharecoveredbythefactorywarranty,youcangobackto

thepointofpurchasetoreplaceitforanewone.

• Defectstoconsumablesorpartssubjecttowearing,aswellascleaning,

maintenanceorthereplacementofsaidpartsarenotcoveredby

theguaranteeandhencearetobepaid!

• Theguaranteelapsesincaseofunauthorizedtampering.

• Aftertheexpiryoftheguaranteerepairscanbecarriedbythecompetent

dealerorrepairserviceagainstthepaymentoftheensuingcosts.
