avoidunintentionallystartingorrollingthevehicle,settheparkbrake,placetheForward/Reverse

handleorswitchintheNEUTRALposition,turnthekeyswitchtotheOFFposition,andremovethe

keywhenleavingthevehicle.

•Gasolinevehiclesonly:Donottamperwiththegovernor.Doingsowillvoidthewarranty,aswellas

damagetheengineandothercomponents,andcouldresultinpropertydamage,personalinjury,or

deathduetounsafespeeds.

KEYSWITCH

Thekeyswitch(1)ismountedonthedashtotherightofthesteeringcolumn(Figure10orFigure11).Ithastwo

positions,OFFandON,whichareclearlyidentied.SeefollowingNOTE.

NOTE:WhenthekeyisturnedtotheOFFposition,themainvehiclesystemsaredisabled.Thekeyswitchmaybe

usedasanemergencystop.

rockerswitchispositionedinNEUTRAL,withneithersidedown,thevehiclewillnotoperateiftheacceleratorpedalis
