Intended Use
This device is an information technology device and is intended for charging
and operating USB devices. Due to the Qualcomm® Quick ChargeTM 3.0 tech-
nology used for the green USB port (A) of the device, a reduced charging time
is possible for compatible devices. Compatible connected devices are recog-
nized automatically and supplied with the appropriate output voltage and the
appropriate output current by the USB charger. Any use other than the intended
use is considered to be improper. The device is not intended for use in commer-
cial or industrial environments. The manufacturer accepts no responsibility for
damage caused by improper use or repairs, unauthorized modifications, or the
use of unapproved replacement parts. The risk is borne solely by the user.

WARNING indicates a hazardous situation that, if not avoided, could result
in death or serious injury.
NOTICE indicates information considered important, but not hazard-related
(e. g. messages related to property damage).
A tip provides additional information that will assist you in using the device.

Safety
This section contains important safety instructions for handling the device. This
device complies with statutory safety regulations. Improper use may result in
personal injury and property damage.
Basic safety instructions
For safe handling of the device, follow the safety information below:
Check the device for visible external damage before use. Do not use devices
that have been damaged or dropped.
This device may only be used by children aged 8 years and above and
by persons with limited physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge, if it is provided that they are being supervised
or have been instructed on how to use the device safely and are aware of
the potential risks. Children must not play with the device. Cleaning and
user maintenance tasks may not be carried out by children unless they are
supervised.
Packing materials are not children's toys! Keep all pack-
aging materials away from children. Risk of suffocation!
The power socket must be easily accessible so that the device can be easily
unplugged, if necessary.
The device is drawing power, even when no device to be charged is con-
nected. Thus, the device should be disconnected from the power supply
when it is not needed. For complete separation from the supply voltage, e.g.
in emergencies, the device must be disconnected from the power socket.
Never touch the power plug or power cord with wet
hands, as this may cause a short circuit or electric shock.
Always unplug the power cord from the power socket by the power plug,
never by pulling on the power cord.
If the power cord or ports are damaged, have them replaced by an autho-
rized specialist or customer service.
Protect the power cord from hot surfaces and sharp edges. Make sure that
the power cord is not pulled to tight or kinked. Do not let the power cord
hang over corners (risk of tripping).
Always place the unit on a stable and level surface. It can be damaged,
if it falls.
SULS 5 A1 US-EN 5
Furniture surfaces may contain components that can corrode and soften the
rubber feet of the device. If necessary, place a pad under the rubber feet of
the device.
Do not place any objects on top of the device.
Do not expose the device to direct sunlight or high temperatures. Otherwise,
it may become overheated and irreparably damaged.
Ensure sufficient air circulation to prevent heat build-up. Never cover the unit.
There is a fire hazard!
Do not place the device near sources of heat, such as radiators or other heat
generating devices.
Do not operate the unit near open flames (e.g. candles) and do not place
any burning candles on or near the unit. This helps you avoid fires.
The device is not intended for use in rooms with high temperature or humidity
levels (e.g. bathrooms) or excessive dust.
Do not expose the appliance to splashing and/or dripping water and do not
place objects filled with liquids, such as vases or open drinks, on or next to
the device.
Never operate the unit unattended.
Pull out the power plug from the power socket in the event of a malfunction
or a thunderstorm.
Remove the power cord immediately from the device if you notice any
unusual noise, fire, or smoke. Have the unit checked by a qualified specialist
before using it again.
Never open the housing of the device. No parts inside
the device need to be serviced. When the housing is open, there is a risk
of death from electric shock. Repairs on the device should only be carried
out by authorized service providers or the customer service department.
Improper repairs can pose a risk to the user. Furthermore, this invalidates the
warranty.
Repair of the device during the warranty period may only be carried out by
a service provider authorized by the manufacturer; otherwise, no additional
warranty claims can be considered for subsequent damage.
Defective components must always be replaced with original replacement
parts. Only using replacement parts can ensure that they meet the safety
requirements.

and reduces the amount of waste that is generated. Dispose of pack-

Using the USB charger
Make sure that the power consumption of your device is not higher than
3 A when using the USB port (A) . The total current consumption of all
devices connected to the USB ports (B-E) must not exceed 3A. The power
consumption of your device may not exceed 2.4 A on the individual USB
ports (B-E) . For more information, refer to your device manual.
The maximum current output of the USB charger is 6 A. The maximum current
output of the USB port (A) is 3 A. The total maximum current output of the
four USB ports (B-E) is 3 A. The current output is split depending on which
USB ports (B-E) are in use. The maximum power output of the individual
USB ports (B-E) is 2.4 A.
The USB port (A) supports the charging standard Qualcomm® Quick
ChargeTM 3.0 (compatible with Quick ChargeTM 2.0 and Quick ChargeTM
1.0). If the connected device is compatible with this charging standard, it is
automatically recognized by the USB charger. The USB charger provides
the appropriate output voltage or output current, so the device can be
recharged faster. Devices without this charging standard can be charged
normally via the USB port (A) .
Connect your device to the USB charger. Use the original USB cable of your
device to ensure optimal charging capacity.
Connect the power plug of the USB charger into a properly installed power
socket.
The Power LED lights up blue and signals the connection to the power
supply.
If necessary, turn on your connected device for further use.
Observe the charging status on your connected device.
Disconnect your connected device from the USB charger when charging is
completed.
Disconnect the power plug from the power socket when you no longer need
the USB charger.
SULS 5 A1 US-EN 9
Troubleshooting
The following table helps to solve minor problems:
Error Solution
The USB charger does not
show any function or the
Power LED does not light
up blue.
Connect the power plug of the USB charger
into a properly installed power socket.
Check your fuses.
The Power LED lights up
blue. A connected Samsung
mobile device is not charging
or is taking a long time to
charge.
Connect the Samsung mobile device to the
bottom USB port (E) . The bottom USB
port (E) features an auto detect feature
for Samsung mobile devices that enables/
speeds up charging.
The Power LED flashes
blue. The USB charger is
overloaded.
Remove the connected devices one after
another until the Power LED once again
lights up blue.
Cleaning
Risk of death by electric shock!
Disconnect the power plug from the power socket before cleaning.
Damage to the device!
Ensure that no moisture penetrates into the device during cleaning to avoid
irreparable damage to the device.
Clean the surfaces of the device with a soft, dry cloth.
For stubborn dirt, use a slightly damp cloth with a mild detergent.
Storage when not in use
If you do not intend to use the device for an extended period of time, discon-
nect it from the power supply and store it in a clean, dry place, away from
direct sunlight.
