Numatic TTB1840G is a versatile floor care machine designed for scrubbing and drying various hard floors. It features a 400mm brush or a 360mm pad drive for effective cleaning. The machine has a 18-liter clean water tank and a separate waste-water tank, ensuring efficient cleaning and disposal of dirty water. The 1840 has been designed to scrub and dry a variety of hard oors.

This machine has not been designed to pick up large objects, make sure you pre-sweep the oor before use.

For optimum performance make sure you keep the lters, hoses and oor tool blades clean and free from debris.

Disconnect from the power supply or remove the battery BEFORE commencing maintenance or cleaning of your machine.

After every time the machine is used.

The machine should be left in a clean and tidy state, drain

all uids, clean all lters, pipes and place the

battery on charge.

It is recommended you strip and

thoroughly clean the machine and its

components regularly.

At least weekly to avoid operating

troubles and machine breakdowns.

Make sure you read and fully

understand your 1840 manual

before using the machine.

PROBLEM CAUSE SOLUTION

Machine will not operate. Missing or blown fuses.

Battery not connected.

The machine uses a 400mm brush or a

360mm pad drive.

Filling tank...

Fill the clean water tank to a maximum

of 18 litres including chemical if required.

Fill gauge...

Fitted to the clean water inlet is a red

plastic ll gauge, this rises as the tank

lls.

Moving when full...

When the clean water tank is full the machine

can be tilted to a maximum of 45

without

spillage.

Take care to make sure that contaminants (leaves, hair, dirt, etc.) are not allowed to enter the clean water tank.

Fitting the Floor Tool...

Make sure the inspection cap is in place on the

uid pipe.

Swing the oor-tool carrier to the side of the

machine.

Secure to the carrier using the two knobs tted

to the oor-tool carrier

Do not over tighten the retaining knobs.

Fit the brush pad onto the Nulock drive

and twist to lock in place.

Saftey Gloves are recommended for

changing used brushes.

Remove the ller cap and ll using a hose,

bucket or suitable container.

Water Flow Adjustment...

Located on the left of the machine is the clean

water tap, make sure the tap has been turned

on before use.

Ideally set the tap to 45% this enables the

cleaning solution to last the same time as a fully

charged battery..

Raising and lowering the Floor Tool...

To raise and lower the oor tool make sure the

oor tool is central to the machine.

Lift the handle near the base of

the handle to raise the oor tool

and lock in position.

Whilst the brush motor is running press the water ow On / O Button for uid control (Fig.C), the clean water On / O tap must

be open.

Ideally set the tap to 450 this enables the cleaning solution to last the same time as a fully-charged battery.

When the Triggers are released the brush motor and the cleaning solution pump will switch o, the vacuum motor will continue

for 10 seconds.

Press the mode select button to operate the brush only (Fig.D).

The start sequence is required in this mode.

The water ow On / O button will operate in this mode.

Press the mode select button again to get vacuum only.

The On / O Switch and triggers are not required in this mode. (Fig.E)

Press the mode select button to switch this mode o and return to default mode.

The panel if unused will automatically turn o after 60 seconds.

The brush motor will cut out and the brush load light will ash if the brush motor has been overloaded (Fig.F).

Releasing the handle triggers will allow the machine to reset.

Brush Overload

IMPORTANT

If the brush motor keeps overloading consider using a dierent type of brush.

Heavy brush load decreases the available battery run time.

Drain Top (Waste) Tank

Use the drain hose to empty the top tank and ush the tank through with clean water, it is

advisable to let the tank air dry, by removing the separator, if leaving your machine for extended

periods of time.

Drain Bottom (Clean Water) Tank

The clean-water tank can be drained via the yellow cap tted to the left hand side

of the machine. There is a sealing bung beneath the yellow cap (ensure the sealing

bung is clean) The cap should only be done up by hand.

Drain the clean water tank if leaving your machine for a extended period.

The cap has a rubber seal and might require a spanner to remove.

Regular Maintenance...

Located under the clean water inlet is the clean water lter.

Cleaning chemicals residue can cause the lter to become blocked causing

poor water ow.

Remove the clean water inlet (g 1).

In the bottom of the tank is the clean water lter, clean the lter regularly (g 2).

Numatic recommend you leave your 1840 resting on the brush if leaving your machine for

short periods of time.

This saves distorting the squeegee blades.

Remove the brush and oor tool if you are leaving the machine for extended periods of

time.

After every time your machine is used, we recommend you drain all uids, clean all

lters, pipes and place the battery on charge.

The machine should be left in a clean and tidy state.

Separator

Remove the two hoses to disconnect the

separator from the machine (Fig.1 & 2).

Remove xing band holding separator in

place (Fig.3).

Lift o the separator. The separator has a

sealing-rubber which should be examined

at every clean-down (Fig.4).

Rinse using clean water.

Remove the two lters clipped into the separator and ush with clean water (Fig.A & B).

Replace by tting the rear of the lter rst then clipping the front to lock in place.

Make sure your hoses are in good order, secure and free from debris.

Changing the Floor Tool Blades ...

To change the oor-tool, rstly swing the

oor-tool clear of the machine. Undo the

two oor-tool retaining knobs (Fig.A).

Pull the oortool away from the machine

(Fig.B).

Replace the Squeegee blades using

(903531) replacement blade set (Fig.3),

tting the blades on to the moulded

location lugs.

Remove the blade holder (Fig.2).Unscrew the four knobs securing the

blade holder (Fig.1).

Refitting the Floor Tool Blades

NOTE: The blades are designed to be reversible, thus extending their useful

working life.

Ret the blade holder, retain using the two outer knobs.

Ensure the slotted blade goes to the front of the oor-tool.

Ret the oor-tool using the two central knobs to the oor-tool.

Unplug the battery from the machine using the red connection handle (Fig.A & B).

The battery can then be lifted from the machine for storage or charging (Fig.C).

Removing the Battery ...

The battery pack comes tted with a 40 amp safety fuse.

Replace the fuse using (208526) Numatic approved part

Recharge the machine fully after its last use. Do not leave the machine in a discharged state.

Under abnormal use; i.e. leaving the machine without charging for a period of time, we advise that you disconnect the battery from the machine.

If the machine will be standing unused for a period of 30 days or more, then batteries must be fully charged.

Note: Batteries should be recharged every three months. Charge fully the day before you start using the machine again.

Under normal daily usage:

Recharge batteries after each use regardless of machine operation time. Connect the charger unit to the battery and plug the charger into a suitable power

supply.
