Important Safeguards
A 15A, 2-pole, ganged disconnect device, which
also provides short circuit and overload protection,
and has a minimum 3mm open circuit clearance, in
accordance with the National Electrical Code,
Canadian Electrical Code and applicable local
codes must be installed at a location readily
accessible to the equipment.
(Ein 15A, 2-poliges, gekoppeltes Ausschaltgerät,
welches auch über einen Kurzschluß- sowie
Überbelastungsschutz verfügt, und einen minimum
3mm offenen Schaltabstand aufweist, nach
Übereinstimmung mit den Nationalen Elektrischen
Regelungen und Kanadisch Elektrischen
Regelungen sowie lokalen Regeln, muß an einem
Standort installiert werden, welcher einfachen
Zugang zum Gerät erlaubt.)
Outside elements. To keep outside elements from
entering the box, always mount it vertically with
cables exiting to the side or down.
Wire routing. Ensure wires from the secondary
and primary sides of the transformer do not cross
paths within the box.
Adding access holes to the enclosure. The box
meets the IP66 and NEMA 4 standards for
weatherproofing. To maintain this rating, do not drill
into the enclosure. Use outdoor rated conduit to
maintain the IP66 NEMA 4 rating.

Installation
The box can be mounted either indoors or outdoors
to any suitable vertical flat surface.
1. Remove the cover from the box.
2. Discard the cardboard covering the
transformer.
3. Using the box as a template, mark locations for
four mounting screws.
4. Drill holes. If in concrete, insert anchors.
5. Place the box in its mounting position. Then
insert a 1 inch #8 mounting screw (not
supplied) into each hole in the four corners of
the box and tighten to secure (Figure 3).
6. Run conduit and ac cable to the box and clamp
the conduit in place using fittings suitable for
outdoor use.
7. Connect the ac line to Euro-style input
terminals 1 and 4 on the transformer using

the transformer according to the input voltage
(Figure 2).
Note: The unit is built for 240Vac (jumper
across pins 2–3). For 120Vac, use the jumper
on the primary side and the jumper in the
install kit and place one jumper across pins
1–3 and one jumper across pins 2–4 as shown
below.
