What is the minimum water hardness level
that the GROHE Blue Chilled & Sparkling
must operate in order to achieve proper
carbonization levels?
The minimum water hardness is 7 grains per gallon. The
magnesium level in this setting is required for carbonization
to occur.

hardness levels?
Local information can be found with your local municipality and
water utility. You can also purchase home water analysis kits
from your local hardware store.

Can a GROHE Blue® Chilled & Sparkling
be installed if a Water Softener System is
already in place?
No. GROHE Blue® Chilled & Sparkling is not compatible with a
Water Softening System. The GROHE Blue® Chilled & Sparkling
cannot be used if a Water Softener System is also in use.

Is an upgrade available from the GROHE
Blue Pure to the GROHE Blue Chilled &
Sparkling?
No. An upgrade is not available.
General What is the GROHE Blue product warranty?
Electronic faucets, valves and controls carry a five (5) year
warranty. A one (1) warranty is extended to all filters, coolers,
and accessories. For full warranty information, please go to our

What kind of power is required for the
GROHE Blue faucet to work?
Power is required for the electronics that control the filter
indicator on the GROHE Blue® filter handle. If power is cut-off to
the GROHE Blue® Pure the lever will still provide filtered water
for the life of the filter. This is NOT the case for the GROHE Blue
Chilled & Sparkling. The faucet will not provide filtered and/or
carbonated water. However, if a power failure occurs you can
use the right handle to still get hot or cold mixed water.

Where should the electronic power pack be
installed?
The electronic pack should be installed in an area under the
sink with minimal obstruction. Any obstruction of the electronic
sensors can affect the accuracy of the unit.

How much chilled water can I get at one
time? How much sparkling water can I get
at one time?
You can get 1.5 - 2 liters of chilled or chilled & carbonated water
at one time. You must wait 5 minutes in between for your next
1.5 - 2 liters.

How far away from the faucet can the
mechanical systems (Cooling unit, C02
cylinder, etc) be installed?
The connection cable from the faucet handle to the cooling unit
is 1.5 meters / 4.9 feet long. We do not recommend extensions.
The power cable is 6.5 feet (2 m) long and can be easily
replaced with a longer power cable.

How much space does the GROHE Blue
Chilled & Sparkling unit require? Is cabinet
ventilation required?
A distance of 50mm (1.9 inches) must be maintained around
the cooler/carbonator. Adequate ventilation is also required. Cut
a hole in the bottom side of the cabinet for warm air outlet. We
recommend installing a small ventilation grid in the side or front
bottom of the cabinet.

What is the filter capacity? What filter
sizes are available? Are the filters
interchangeable?
The filter included in the GROHE Blue® Pure and GROHE Blu
Chilled & Sparkling lasts up to 12 months. It has the capacity to
filter 158 gallons of water. Other filter sizes include 396 gallons
or 792 gallons of water. All filters have the same connections.
Thus, all filter sizes are interchangeable. Please refer to the
Technical Product Information [Insert Page] to adjust filter
cooling unit settings. To purchase all replacement filters please

Filter When should filters be changed?
The LED display in the left handle indicates filter levels.
GROHE Blue® filter indicator
As long as the LED signal is continuously illuminated, your filter
still has more than 10 % capacity. The filter works properly.
If the LED signal is flashing slowly, the capacity has dropped
below 10 %. It is time to order a new filter.
If the LED signal is flashing quickly, the capacity has dropped
below 1 %. You should replace the filter now.
If the LED signal is orange and flashing very quickly, the filter
needs to be replaced.It is no longer purifying the water.
